Poly[[(1,10-phenanthroline-κN,N')zinc]-μ-2,5-bis-(all-yloxy)terephthalato-κO:O].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Zn(C(14)H(12)O(6))(C(12)H(8)N(2))](n), is a coordination polymer forming one-dimensional infinite zigzag chains along [10[Formula: see text]] by inter-connection of Zn(II) atoms by 2,5-bis-(all-yl-oxy)-terephthalate anions via the carboxyl-ate groups. The Zn(II) atom is located on a twofold axis and is in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination formed by the two carboxyl-ate O atoms [Zn-O = 1.9647 (12) Å] and two phenanthroline N atoms [Zn-N = 2.0949 (14) Å].

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Mn(NO(3))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))](n), the Mn(II) atoms are linked by nitrate ligands to form a chain. Each Mn(II) atom is five-coordinated by two N atoms of a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and three O atoms of two nitrates within a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the chains are linked by hydrogen bonds into a polymeric ribbon structure.

Project description:The title complex, [Pr(2)(C(8)H(7)O(3))(6)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)](n), which has an inversion centre midway between the two Pr(III) atoms of the structural unit, forms a one-dimensional polymer bridged alternately by either two bidentate, or two bidentate and two terdentate, phenoxy-acetate carboxyl-ate groups. Each Pr(III) atom is thus nine-coordinated by two N atoms of a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and seven O atoms from six phenoxy-acetate ligands. The coordination geometry at the Pr(III) atom is distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic. One phenyl ring is disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are ca 0.6 and 0.4.

They are coordinated by two N atoms of one 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, one bridging thio-cyanate anion and one bridging cyanide anion. In the crystal structure, infinite helical {Cu-CN-Cu-SCN}(n) chains are formed along [01].

Project description:In the title complex, {[Zn(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(C(12)H(8)N(2))]·H(2)O}(n), the Zn(II) ion is in a distorted octa-hedral environment, defined by two N atoms from a chelating 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligand and one N atom and three O atoms from two pyridine-2,3-dicarboxyl-ate (2,3-pydc) ligands. The bridging 2,3-pydc ligands connect the Zn(II) ions into a chain extending along [010]. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the uncoordinated water mol-ecules and the uncoordinated carboxyl-ate O atoms, as well as π-π inter-actions between the pyridine rings of the phen ligands [centroid-centroid distance = 3.557 (2) Å], are observed.

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn2(C8H4O6)(C12H8N2)2(H2O)6](C8H4O6), the complete ions of both the binuclear dication and the dianion are generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The Zn atom is bonded to an N,N'-bidentate phenanthroline ligand, three water moleules and an O-mono-denate 2,5-dihy-droxy-terephthalate dianion. In the resulting distorted octa-hedral ZnN2O4 coordination poly-hedron, the water O atoms are in a mer orientation. Two intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds occur in the bridging 2,5-dihy-droxy-terephthalate dianion within the complex cation and also in the free dianion. An intra-molecular Ow-H?O (w = water) hydrogen bond also occurs within the dication. In the crystal, O-H?O hydrogen bonds link the component ions into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Zn(2)Cl(4)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)], each of the two five-coordinated Zn(II) atoms displays a strongly distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry defined by two N atoms from the chelate ligand and by one terminal and two bridging chloride anions. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H⋯Cl inter-actions. There is inter-molecular π-π stacking between adjacent phenanthroline ligands, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.151 (3) Å.

Project description:The imino-diacetate dianion in the title compound, [Zn(C(4)H(5)NO(4))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)]·1.5H(2)O, chelates to the Zn(II) center with its N and two O atoms. The metal atom is also chelated by the N-heterocycle and coordinated by one water molecule, leading to a distorted octahedral environment. The dianion, and coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules inter-act through O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network. One of the two uncoordinated water mol-ecules has half-site occupancy. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a 15% twin component.

Project description:The title complex, [Mn(2)(C(8)H(7)O(3))(4)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)]·0.5CH(3)OH, is a carboxyl-ate-bridged dinuclear Mn(II) complex with four phenoxy-acetate ions and two 1,10-phenanthroline mol-ecules as ligands. Each of the four phenoxy-acetate anions bridges the pair of Mn atoms. The asymmetric unit is completed by a half-occupancy methanol solvent mol-ecule. Face-to-face π-π stacking inter-actions between the aromatic rings of 1,10-phenanthroline molecules belonging to adjacent Mn(2) complexes, with an inter-planar separation of circa 3.4 Å, and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the dinuclear units into a three-dimensional supra-molecular framework.

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(C(7)H(4)ClO(3))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)], the Zn(II) cation is coordinated by two 4-chloro-2-salicylate anions, one 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and one water mol-ecule in a square-pyramidal coordination geometry; the Zn cation lies 0.4591 (11) Å from the basal plane. The benzene rings of the anions are involved in π-π stacking. The centroid-centroid distance between parallel benzene rings of adjacent mol-ecules is 3.9017 (17) Å, and the centroid-centroid distance between benzene and pyridine rings of adjacent mol-ecules is 3.584 (2) Å. Intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding is present.
