Dimethyl-ammonium bis-(4-methyl-morpholin-4-ium) tetra-chloridozincate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, (C(2)H(8)N)(C(5)H(12)NO)[ZnCl(4)], was synthesized by hydro-thermal reaction of ZnCl(2) with 4-methyl-morpholine in a dimethyl-formamide solution. The asymmetric unit is composed of half a [ZnCl(4)](2-) anion, half a 4-methyl-morpholin-4-ium cation and half a dimethyl-ammonium cation, all located on mirror planes parallel to ac. All the amine H atoms are involved in inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, building up an infinite chain parallel to the c axis.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(7)H(11)N(2))(2)[ZnCl(4)], [ZnCl(4)](2-) anions and 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridinium cations are held together by various inter-molecular inter-actions including Coulombic attraction, hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking inter-actions. Three Cl atoms of the [ZnCl(4)](2-) tetra-hedron act as acceptors in N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The hydrogen bonds, both of which are bifurcated, lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network. Within the network, inter-molecular π-π stacking inter-actions with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.5911 (7) Å arrange the 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridinium cations into anti-parallel dimers.

The Co(II) ion is in a tetra-hedral coordination geometry. The cations exhibit chair-shaped conformations. Project description:The title compound, (C(5)H(12)NO)(2)[ZnBr(4)], was synthesized by hydro-thermal reaction of ZnBr(2) with 4-methyl-morpholine in a HBr/distilled water solution. Each of the two independent cations exhibits a chair conformation; the anion deviates slightly from an tetrahedral configuration. The Zn-Br distances in the anion are in the range of 2.3996?(9)-2.4247?(9)?Å. All of the amine H atoms are involved in bifurcated inter-molecular N-H?Br hydrogen bonds, building up a trimer.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title hydrated salt, 2C(4)H(12)N(+)·C(2)O(4) (2-)·H(2)O, the two independent cations, the anion and the water mol-ecule all lie on special positions of m site symmetry. In both cations, the mirror plane passes through the nitrogen atom and two methyl groups; in the anion, the mirror plane passes through two carbon and two oxygen atoms. The anions and water mol-ecules inter-act by O-H?O hydrogen bonding, forming a chain running along the b axis.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(13)H(17)N(2)O)(2)[ZnCl(4)]·2H(2)O, contains two tetra-hydro-harmine cations, one tetra-chloro-zincate(II) anion and two water mol-ecules. In the cations, the two 1H-indole ring systems are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.016?(2) and 0.018?(2)?Å, and both tetra-hydro-pyridinium rings show a half-chair conformation. The Zn(II) complex anion has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?O, N-H?Cl, O-H?O, O-H?Cl and C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the components into a three-dimensional network. A ?-? inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.542?(14)?Å is also observed.

Project description:The title compound, (CH(6)N)(2)[WS(4)], was synthesized by the reaction of ammonium tetra-sulfidotungstate(VI) with aqueous methyl-amine. The title compound is isotypic with the corresponding Mo analogue (CH(6)N)(2)[MoS(4)], and its structure consists of a slightly distorted tetra-hedral [WS(4)](2-) dianion and two crystallographically independent methyl-ammonium (MeNH(3)) cations, all of which are located on crystallographic mirror planes. The tetra-sulfidotungstate anions are linked to the organic cations via hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Several short C-H⋯Cl contacts [2.70 (3) and 2.72 (4) Å] are observed, but they are believed to participate only in van der Waals inter-actions. The crystal studied exhibited inversion twinning.
