ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [NiCl(2)(C(15)H(17)Cl(2)N(3)O)(4)], the Ni atom lies on an inversion center and has an axially extended trans-NiCl(2)N(4) octa-hedral geometry arising from its coordination by four diniconazole [systematic name: (E)-(RS)-1-(2,4-dichloro-phen-yl)-4,4-dimethyl-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)pent-1-en-3-ol] ligands and two chloride ions. In the crystal, O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into [100] chains.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [CoCl(2)(C(15)H(17)Cl(2)N(3)O)(4)], the Co(II) cation lies on an inversion center and has a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The equatorial positions are occupied by four N atoms from four diniconazole [systematic name: (E)-(RS)-1-(2,4-dichloro-phen-yl)-4,4-dimethyl-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)pent-1-en-3-ol] ligands. The axial sites are occupied by two Cl(-) anions. In the two independent organic ligands, the triazole ring is oriented at dihedral angles of 18.28 (14) and 32.15 (14)° with respect to the dichloro-phenyl ring. Inter-molecular O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:The central Cu(II) atom of the molecular title complex, [CuCl(2)(C(2)H(3)N(3))(4)], is situated on a site with symmetry 2.22. It is six-coordinated in an elongated octa-hedral geometry, with the equatorial plane defined by four N atoms of four 1,2,4-triazole ligands and the axial positions occupied by two Cl atoms situated on a twofold axis. The mol-ecules are connected via N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds and the crystal consists of two inter-penetrating three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded frameworks.

Project description:The title compound, cis-[RuCl(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(4)]·2C(6)H(6), contains a complex mol-ecule with a crystallographic mirror plane passing through the Ru(II) atom, the two cis-disposed Cl ligands and two P atoms of the two cis-disposed P(CH(3))(3) ligands. The Ru(II) atom adopts a distorted octa-hedral RuCl(2)P(4) coordination geometry with the two trans-disposed P atoms occupying the axial positions. The packing of the structure is accomplished through non-classical C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds between the benzene solvent mol-ecule and one of the Cl ligands.

Hexa-kis-(thio-urea-?S)nickel(II) nitrate: a redetermination.

Project description:A preliminary X-ray study of the title mol-ecular salt, [Ni(CH(4)N(2)S)(6)](NO(3))(2), has been reported twice previously, by Ma?ar [Acta Cryst. (1961), 14, 894] and Rodriguez, Cubero, Vega, Morente & Vazquez [Acta Cryst. (1961), 14, 1101], using film methods. We confirm the previous studies, but to modern standards of precision and with all H atoms located. The central Ni atom (site symmetry ) of the dication is octa-hedrally coordinated by six S-bound thio-urea mol-ecules. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular N-H?S and N-H?O hydrogen bonds.
