ABSTRACT: In the title cationic Cp(*)Fe(II) complex, [Fe(C(10)H(15))(CH(3)CN)(C(14)H(16)NP)]PF(6)·C(4)H(8)O, the metal ion is coordinated by the ?(5)-Cp* ring as well as the P and N atoms of the chelating 2-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethyl-amine ligand and an additional acetonitrile mol-ecule in a piano-chair conformation. The PF(6) (-) anion is disordered over two sets of sites with occupancies of 0.779?(7) and 0.221?(7).

Project description:In the title Ru(II) complex, [RuCl(2)(C(8)H(12))(C(2)H(3)N)(2)]·CH(3)CN, the metal ion is coordinated to the centers of each of the double bonds of the cyclo-octa-diene ligand, to two chloride ions (in cis positions) and to two N-atom donors (from MeCN mol-ecules) that complete the coordination sphere for the neutral complex. The coordination about the Ru(II) atom can thus be considered to be octa-hedral with a slightly trigonal distortion. There is also one acetonitrile solvent mol-ecule per mol-ecule which is outside the coordination sphere of the ruthenium atom.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(2)(C(7)H(8)NO)(3)(N(3))(3)]·CH(3)CN, the two Co(II) ions in the dinuclear complex have different coordination environments, both in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. One Co(II) atom is coordinated by three O atoms from the three 2-hy-droxy-ethyl-pyridine (HEP) bridging ligands, two N atoms from two HEP ligands and one azido ligand, while the other Co(II) atom is coordinated by the same three O atoms, one N atom from an HEP ligand and two azido ligands. Project description:The title compound, C(10)H(10)N(3) (+)·NCS(-)·CH(3)CN, is the acetonitrile solvate of the thio-cyanate salt of protonated dipyridin-2-yl-amine. Protonation occurs at one of the pyridine N atoms. The mol-ecular geometry around the central N atom is essentially planar (sum of angles = 359.89°). In the crystal, N-H?N hydrogen bonds, as well as C-H?S contacts link the different residues into chains along the c-axis direction. Inter-action between aromatic systems gives rise to ?-stacking, the shortest distance between two ?-systems being 3.6902?(6)?Å. Both the protonated and the non-protonated pyridyl groups are involved in the latter inter-action.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(CH(3)CN)(CO)(2)]BF(4), of which only the coordinates of the non-H atoms of the cation have previously been reported [Fadel et al. (1979 ▶). Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem.453, 98-106] has been redetermined. The Fe(II) atom in the complex cation is coordinated by a cyclo-penta-dienyl ring, two carbonyl ligands and an acetonitrile mol-ecule displaying a three-legged piano stool structure. Three of the four F atoms of the BF(4) (-) anion are disordered over two sets of sites, with a site-occupancy factor of 0.709 (10) for the major occupied site.

The conformation of the aliphatic C-C-C-C chain is gauche [torsion angle = -67.7 (8)°]. A weak C-H⋯Br inter-action helps to establish the conformation. In the crystal, there is a weak secondary bonding inter-action [Te⋯N = 3.456 (11) Å] between the Te atom and the N atom of the solvent mol-ecule, which completes a distorted TeNCBr(4) octa-hedron. Inversion dimers linked by pairs of C-H⋯Br inter-actions are also observed.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(9)H(7)BrN(4)OS·C(2)H(3)N, the mol-ecules are connected via N-H?O and N-H?S inter-actions into zigzag chains perpendicular to [001]. The mol-ecules in these chains are additionally linked to acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules through N-H?N hydrogen bonding. The mol-ecules are arranged in layers and are stacked in the direction of the c axis indicative of ?-? inter-actions, with distance = 3.381?(7)?Å for the C?C interaction parallel to [001]. An intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond is also observed in the main mol-ecule.
