Poly[[aqua-(?(5)-3,4,5,6-tetra-carb-oxy-cyclo-hexane-1,2-dicarboxyl-ato)strontium] monohydrate].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, {[Sr(C(12)H(10)O(12))(H(2)O)]·H(2)O}(n), the Sr(II) ion is coordinated by six O atoms of five symmetry-related 3,4,5,6-tetra-carb-oxy-cyclo-hexane-1,2-dicarboxyl-ate ligands and one water mol-ecule in a slightly distorted monocapped trigonal-prismatic environment. The ligands bridge the Sr(II) ions, forming a two-dimensional structure. In the crystal, O-H?O hydrogen bonds further connect the structure into a three-dimensional network. The H atoms of two of the carboxyl groups were refined as half-occupancy.

Each anion acts as a ?(3)-bridge, linking symmetry-related Cd(II) ions into a layer parallel to (010). In the crystal, numerous O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds occur. Project description:The title complex, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(C(8)H(10)O(4))](n), was synthesized from cis-cyclo-hexane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid and dimethyl-tin dichloride. The complex has a bridging bis-bidentate carboxyl-ate group resulting in a zig-zag chain structure parallel to [001]. The Sn atom is six-coordinated and displays a distorted octa-hedral geometry.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cd(2)(C(8)H(10)O(4))(2)(C(23)H(14)N(4)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, consists of one half of the dimeric complex, which lies about an inversion centre, and a half-occupancy solvent water mol-ecule on a general position. Each Cd(II) cation is six-coordinated by the two N atoms from one 1-(1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)naphthalen-2-ol (L) ligand and three O atoms from two different 1,4-chdc(2-) ligands (1,4-H(2)chdc = cyclo-hexane-1,4-dicarb-oxy-lic acid), two coordinating in a bidentate fashion and the other in a monodentate fashion. The distorted octa-hedral coordination sphere is completed by a coordinated water mol-ecule. The Cd(II) atoms are each bridged by two 1,4-chdc(2-) ligands, forming an inversion dimer with the L ligands located on the outside of the dimeric unit. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions stabilize the packing.

Project description:The reaction of strontium(II) nitrate with the proton-transfer compound (pdaH(2))(py-3,5-dc)·H(2)O (where pda = propane-1,3-diamine and py-3,5-dcH(2) = pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid) leads to the formation of the title polymeric compound, [Sr(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(H(2)O)(4)](n). The propane-1,3-diaminium cation is not incorporated in this crystal structure. The Sr(II) atom lies on an inversion centre and is eight-coordinated by four O atoms from three py-3,5-dc ligands and four O atoms from four coordinated water mol-ecules. The coordination polyhedron of the Sr(II) atom is a distorted dodeca-hedron. These binuclear units are connected via the carboxyl-ate O atoms to build a one-dimensional polymeric chain. In the crystal structure, non-covalant inter-actions consisting of hydrogen bonds (X-H?O, with X = O and C) and ?-? stacking inter-actions [3.4604?(19)?Å] connect the various components to form a supra-molecular structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound [Li(4)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(2)(C(2)H(5)OH)(H(2)O)](n), there are four crystallographically independent metal centers each of which is coordinated by four O atoms. The benzene-1,2-dicarboxyl-ate groups act as bidentate-bridging ligands producing a two-dimensional coordination network parallel to the ab plane. The coordination polymer is further stabilized by coordination of water and ethanol mol-ecules by the Li(+) ions. One carboxyl-ate group chelates a Zn(II) atom, whereas the other binds through one O atom only to confer a six-coordinate status to the N-heterocycle-chelated water-coordinated Zn(II) atom. Adjacent dinuclear mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a linear chain.
