ABSTRACT: The title complex, [Fe(C(36)H(36)N(4)O(4))Cl], shows a domed structure with a slightly distorted trapezoidpyramidal core, in which the perpendicular displacements of the Fe(III) atom from the mean pyrrole N(4) plane are 0.418?(3) and 0.465?(3)?Å for the two crystallographically independent mol-ecules.

Project description:The corrphycene mol-ecule of the title compound, [Cu(C(36)H(36)N(4)O(4))](0.034).0.966C(36)H(38)N(4)O(4), has an essentially planar macrocyclic framwork with a slightly distorted trapezoidal N(4) core; the r.m.s. deviation of the peripheral 20?C atoms and four N atoms is 0.054?(3)?Å. The surface area within the N(4)-coordinating core (8.358?Å(2)) is significantly smaller than that (8.503?Å(2)) of the corresponding free-base porphyrin. Two intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds are observed. Detailed structure analysis clarified that the co-crystallization of the free-base corrphycene together with a quite minor component (ca 3%) of corrphycenato-Cu(II) occurred in the recrystallization process.

Project description:In the title complex, [Fe(2)Cl(2)(C(11)H(16)N(4))(4)][FeCl(4)](2), the asymmetric unit is composed of one and a half units of [Fe(bdmpm)(2)Cl](2)(FeCl(4))(2)(bdmpm = bis(bis(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane). The three independent Fe(II) atom have a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry comprising two bridging chloride anions and four N atoms from two bis-(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligands. The Fe(III) atom has a tetra-hedral coordination geometry comprising four chloride anions.

Project description:The title iron(III) compound, [Fe(C(12)H(21)N(2)Si)(2)Cl], is monomeric. The Fe atom is N,N'-chelated by the N-silylated anilide ligand. The two ligands around the Fe atom are arranged trans to each other. The Fe-N(amino) bond is longer than the Fe-N(anilide) bond by about 0.37 Å. The mol-ecule displays a pseudo-twofold rotation. The five-coordinate Fe atom demonstrates a highly distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry.

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(NCS)(2)(C(16)H(16)N(2)O(2))], the Co(II) ion is coordinated by two N atoms from one 2,9-dieth-oxy-1,10-phenanthroline ligand and two N atoms from two different thio-cyanate ligands in a distorted tetra-hedral environment. The Co-N bonds involving the thio-cyanate ligands are significantly shorter than the other two Co-N bonds. The Ru(III) atom is octa-hedrally coordinated by four Cl atoms in the equatorial plane, and by a dimethyl sulfoxide O atom and a nitrosyl N atom in axial positions. The cation is an N3-protonated N7 tautomer. Inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds connect two cations into centrosymmetric dimers, with an N⋯N distance of 2.821 (4) Å. The crystal structure also involves N-H⋯O, N-H⋯Cl and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(C(4)H(7)N(2)O(2))Cl(2)(C(4)H(8)N(2)O(2))], the Co(III) ion has a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The equatorial plane consists of four N atoms, two each from the dimethyl-glyoxime and dimethyl-glyoximate ligands, while the two axial positions are occupied by two chloride ions. Strong intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed between the dimethyl-glyoxime and dimethyl-glyoximate ligands. Mol-ecules are linked into a chain running along the [101] direction by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The chains are cross-linked through inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.
