ABSTRACT: The asymmetric part of the title compound, (C(10)H(16)N)(2)[Cr(2)O(7)], contains one cation and a half of the dichromate dianion, which has a staggered conformation and exhibits disorder of the bridging O atom around the inversion center over two positions in a 1:1 ratio. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link cations and anions into a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:A trimethyl-phenyl-ammonium salt of a dinuclear ?-oxalate complex of diperoxidomonomolybdate units, (C9H14N)2[Mo2(C2O4)(O2)4O2], was obtained from an acidic aqueous solution; the dianion is located about a centre of inversion. Each Mo atom bears two peroxide groups together with one O atom from the oxalate group in its equatorial positions and one terminal O atom as well as another O atom from the oxalate in axial positions. The oxalate group acts as a tetra-dentate bridging ligand and bridges between the diperoxidomolybdate units.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, (C5H7N2)2[Cr2O7], contains four independent cations and two independent dichromate anions. The crystal structure consists of discrete dichromate anions with an eclipsed conformation stacked in layers parallel to (010) at y = 1/4 and y = 3/4. These layers are linked via 4-amino-pyridinium cations by N-H?O and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular network. In addition, ?-? inter-actions are present in this structure; the shortest distance separating mean planes through 4-amino-pyridinium cations is 3.679?(6)?Å.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the organic-inorganic title salt, (C10H28N4)[Cr2O7]2, comprises one half of an 1,4-bis-(3-ammonio-prop-yl)piperazinediium cation (the other half being generated by the application of inversion symmetry) and a dichromate anion. The piperazine ring of the cation adopts a chair conformation, and the two CrO4 tetra-hedra of the anion are in an almost eclipsed conformation. In the crystal, the cations and anions form a layered arrangement parallel to (001). N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the cations and anions and additional C-H⋯O inter-actions lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network structure.
