ABSTRACT: In the title mol-ecule, C(26)H(22)P(2)Se(2), both P atoms have distorted tetra-hedral environments, resulting in effective cone angles of 177 and 174°. Inversion twinning was detected and refined to a ratio of 0.35:0.65. Weak inter-molecular C-H?Se inter-actions are observed.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, trans-[Cu(C2H)Cl(C26H24P2)2], consists of an Ru(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, in an octa-hedral environment defined by two chelating phosphines, one acetyl-ide and one chloride ligand. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. The four P atoms occupy the equatorial plane of the octa-hedron and the chloride and acetyl-ide ligands the axial positions.

Project description:In the title compound [Fe(bpe)(Hbpe)Au(CN)2][Au(CN)2]2·bpe·2H2O} n [where bpe = 1,2-bis-(pyridin-4-yl)ethene, C12H10N2], the FeII ion is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral [FeN4O2] environment by two di-cyano-aurate anions, two water mol-ecules and two partially protonated 1,2-di(4-pyrid-yl)ethyl-ene mol-ecules. Di-cyano-aurate anions bridge the FeII cations, forming infinite chains, which propagate along the a-axis direction. The chains are connected via aurophilic inter-actions with two non-coordinated di-cyano-aurate anions for each FeII ion. The polymeric chains inter-act with each other via ?-? stacking between the guest bpe mol-ecules and multiple hydrogen bonds.

The orientations of the meth-oxy groups in the two 2,4-dimeth-oxy-phenyl ligands are distinct, as seen from the torsion angles: C-C-O-C = 14.7?(3) and 175.97?(17)° in one ligand, and -9.1?(2) and 5.1?(3)° in the other. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C-H?Se inter-actions link the mol-ecules into zigzag chains propagated in [010].

Project description:The title compound, C(14)H(11)Cl(2)OP, was synthesized by the reaction of diphenyl-phosphine oxide with 1,2-dichloro-ethyne under CuI catalysis. The reaction provided the Z isomer regioselectively. Two O-P-C bond angles [114.3?(1) and 112.5?(1)°] are significantly larger than the C-P-C [107.7?(1), 105.6?(1) and 106.6?(1)°] and another O-P-C angle [109.5?(1)°], indicating significant distortion of the tetra-hedral configuration of the P atom. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds into centrosymmetric dimers, which are connected by further C-H?O inter-actions into chains along [101].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, (C12H11BrN)2[Ni(C4N2S2)2], consists of one 1-(4-bromo-benz-yl)pyridinium cation and one half of a complex [Ni(mnt)2](2-) (mnt(2-) is the maleo-nitrile-dithiol-ate dianion). The Ni(2+) ion is located on an inversion centre and is coordinated by four S atoms from two mnt(2-) ligands, exhibiting a square-planar coordination environment. In the cation, the planes of the pyridinium and benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 69.86?(19)°. The cations and anions are alternately arranged in layers parallel to (001) and are held together by non-classical C-H?N hydrogen bonds.

An eight-membered ring comprising the two Ni atoms, four P atoms and the CH(2) groups of the two dppm ligands is thus formed. The methyl group in one of the solvent toluene mol-ecules is disordered over two positions with equal occupancies.
