Chlorido-{2-[(di-methyl-amino)-meth-yl]benzene-seleno-lato-?(2) N,Se}(tri-phenyl-phosphane-?P)palladium(II).

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [PdCl(C9H12NSe)(C18H15P)], contains two independent mol-ecules. In both cases, the Pd(2+) cations are coordinated by the Se and N atoms of the chelating bidentate 2-[(di-methyl-amino)-meth-yl]benzene-seleno-late ligand. The chloride ligand lies trans to selenium and the tri-phenyl-phosphane ligand is trans to nitro-gen. The Pd-Se bond lengths in the two independent coordination environments of Pd are 2.3801?(4) and 2.3852?(4)?Å, the Pd-P bond lengths are 2.2562?(8) and 2.2471?(8)?Å, the Pd-N bond lengths are 2.172?(2) and 2.158?(2)?Å, and the Pd-Cl bond lengths are 2.3816?(8) and 2.3801?(8)?Å. The square-planar coordination around one Pd(2+) cation is less distorted than that around the other.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(SC6H4F-p)Cl(PPh3)2]·0.5CH3OH, features a Pd(II) complex with two tri-phenyl-phosphane (PPh3) ligands arranged in a trans conformation, with one chloride and one 4-fluoro-benzene-thiol-ate ligand completing the coordination sphere, giving rise to a slightly distorted square-planar geometry of the Pd(II) ion. The methanol solvent mol-ecule is disordered about an inversion centre with an occupancy of 0.25 for each molecule. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the complex mol-ecules generate chain frameworks parallel to [010].

Project description:The title compound, [Pd2Cl2(C6H5S)2(C18H15P)2]·2CHCl3, contains a centrosymmetric dinuclear palladium complex with the Pd(II) cation in a slightly distorted square-planar coordination environment. The Pd(II) cations are bridged by the S atoms of two benzene-thiol-ate ligands with different Pd-S distances [2.2970 (11) and 2.3676 (11) Å]. The coordination of the metal atom is completed by a chloride anion [2.3383 (11) Å] and a tri-phenyl-phosphane ligand [2.2787 (11) Å]. Weak C-H⋯Cl inter-actions are present between complex mol-ecules and the CHCl3 solvent mol-ecule. The latter is disordered over two positions in a 0.792 (8):0.208 (8) ratio. The crystal under investigation was found to be twinned by nonmerohedry, with a fraction of 73.4 (1)% for the major twin component.

Project description:The dinuclear title compound, [PdCl{Se[(C5H5)Fe(C5H3)2CH2N(CH3)2]}]2 was obtained by the reaction of [PdCl2(NCPh)2] with 2-[(N,N'-di-methyl-amino)-meth-yl]ferro-cene-seleno-late and the crystals for the structure determination were grown from a mixture of THF and n-hexane. Both Pd(II) atoms are coordinated by the bridging Se atoms and by the amino N atoms of the bidentate 2-[(N,N'-di-methyl-amino)-meth-yl]ferrocene-seleno-late ligand, as well as by Cl atoms, and show a distorted square-planar coordination. The angle between the Pd-Se-Se planes of the two Pd atoms is 149.31?(3)°. Weak Cl?H hydrogen bonds link the binuclear complexes into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, [Tm(C6H5Se)3(C4H8O)3], the Tm(III) atom lies on a threefold rotation axis and is coordinated by three phenyl-seleno-late ligands and three tetra-hydro-furan ligands leading to a distorted fac-octa-hedral coordination environment. The Tm-Se and Tm-O bond lengths are 2.7692?(17) and 2.345?(10)?Å, respectively, and the bond angles are 91.32?(6)° for Se-Tm-Se, 92.6?(2) and 94.4?(2)° for Se-Tm-O, and 81.2?(3)° for O-Tm-O. In the crystal, the discrete complexes are linked by van der Waals inter-actions only. The crystal was refined as a non-merohedral twin (ratio = 0.65:0.35).

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [CuCl(CH5N3S)(C18H15P)2]·0.48H2O, the Cu(I) ion is in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry formed by two P atoms from two tri-phenyl-phosphane ligands, one S atom from a thio-semicarbazide ligand and one chloride anion. An intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond [graph-set motif S(5)] stabilizes the thio-semicarbazide ligand in its anti conformation, and an intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond between the hydrazine N-H group and the chloride anion influences the arrangement and orientation of the ligands around the metal center. A weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond is also present. In the crystal, complex mol-ecules are connected through N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds originating from the amide -NH2 group, and through O-H⋯S and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds involving the solvent water mol-ecule. Both the direct N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds as well as the bridging hydrogen bonds mediated by the water mol-ecule connect the complex mol-ecules into zigzag chains that propagate along [010]. The solvent water mol-ecule is partially occupied, with a refined occupancy of 0.479 (7).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pd(2)(C(9)H(12)NSe)(2)Cl(2)]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2), contains two half-mol-ecules, each lying on a twofold axis; each mol-ecule is chiral and of the same enanti-omer. This is only possible as the mol-ecule has a hinged cis arrangement about the Pd(2+) coordination spheres. For this hinged dimeric structure, the angles between the two coordination planes in each mol-ecule are 15.02?(5) and 14.91?(5)°. This hinged cis arragement also allows the two mol-ecules to form pairs linked by secondary inter-actions between the Pd and Se atoms [3.4307?(9) and 3.4317?(9)?Å] of adjoining mol-ecules, leading to an overall tetra-meric structure. During the refinement stages, it was noticed that there were dichloromethane solvent mol-ecules present disordered about a twofold axis. After unsuccessful attempts were made to model this, they were removed using SQUEEZE.

Project description:The title compound, [SnCl2(C5H4NSe)2], is the product of a reaction of 2,2'-dipyridyl diselenide with tin tetra-chloride. The mol-ecule is located about a twofold rotation axis. The coordination environment of the Sn(IV) atom is a distorted octa-hedron, with two bidentate 2-pyridine-seleno-late ligands inclined to each other at an angle of 83.96?(7)°. The two Sn-Cl and two Sn-N bonds are in cis configurations, while the two Sn-Se bonds of 2.5917?(3)?Å are in a trans configuration, with an Se-Sn-Se angle of 157.988?(15)°. In the crystal, ?-? inter-actions between the pyridine rings [centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.758?(3)?Å] and weak inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains along the c axis.

In the crystal, pairs of N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds form inversion dimers. An intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond is also observed.
