The complete chloroplast genome sequence of the Manglietia longirostrata Sima, a rare and endemic species to china.

ABSTRACT: Manglietia longirostrata Sima is a rare and endemic species in China. The complete chloroplast genome (cpDNA) of M. longirostrata was sequenced and assembled in this study. The cpDNA is 160,049 bps in length, contains a large single-copy region (LSC) of 88,098 bp and a small single-copy region (SSC) of 18,861 bp, separated by a pair of identical inverted repeat (IR) regions of 26,571 bp, each. The genome contains 123 genes, including 73 protein-coding genes, 8 ribosomal RNA genes, and 37 transfer RNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis of cp genome of M. longirostrata with 11 chloroplast genomes previously reported in the Magnoliaceae shows that M. longirostrata is close to Manglietia megaphylla with high bootstrap value.

Manglietia longirostrata Sima is a rare and endemic species in China. The complete chloroplast genome (cpDNA) of M. longirostrata was sequenced and assembled in this study. The cpDNA is 160,049 bps in length, contains a large single-copy region (LSC) of 88,098 bp and a small single-copy region (SSC) of 18,861 bp, separated by a pair of identical inverted repeat (IR) regions of 26,571 bp, each. Project description:Oberonia seidenfadenii is a rare and newly recorded plant species in Zhejiang province, China. In our present study, the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of O. seidenfadenii was assembled by using high-throughput Illumina sequencing data. The plastome is 143,062 bp in size, which contains a typical quadripartite structure with a pair of inverted repeats (IR) regions (24,278 bp) separated by a small single-copy (SSC) region (10,224 bp) and a large single-copy (LSC) region (84,282 bp). The cp genome sequence contains 127 genes, including 74 protein-coding genes, 38 tRNA genes, 8 rRNA genes, and 7 pseudogenes. Phylogenetic analysis results indicated O. seidenfadenii is a sister of Oberonia japonica, with a support rate of 100%.

Project description:Manglietia yuyuanensis is an important afforestation and excellent broad-leaved tree species in southern China. In this study, we assembled the complete chloroplast genome of M. yuyuanensis based on the Illumina sequences, sequence analysis showed the genome was 160,078 bp in length presenting a typical quadripartite structure and contains an inverted repeat region (IR, 26,467 b), a small single-copy (SSC) region, and a large single-copy (LSC) region (18,785 and 88,359 bp, respectively). The overall GC content was 39.27%. The sequence contained 128 unique genes, including 81 protein-coding genes, 38 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes. The maximum-likelihood (ML) phylogenetic analysis revealed that M. maudiae was closely related to Manglietia insignis. A phylogenetic analysis revealed that M. yuyuanensis is closely related to Manglietia glaucifolia, with the genus Manglietia.
