ABSTRACT: In the title binuclear iron(III) complex, [Fe(2)(C(14)H(10)N(2)O(2))(3)]·4C(4)H(8)O or [Fe(2)(salda)(3)]·4THF [H(2)salda = 2,2'-(azinidimethyl-ene)diphenolate and THF is tetra-hydro-furan], the ligand possesses a rotationally flexible single N-N bond. Three dinucleating O,N:N',O'-donor ligands provide three diazine (=N-N=) bridges between the metal ions, yielding a binuclear triple helicate structure with crystallographic C(2) symmetry, the rotation axis bis-ecting one N-N bond.

One of the thienyl groups and the bound THF are disordered with 0.5:0.5 occupancy. The free THF is disordered around the threefold axis.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title ionic compound (C(7)H(6)NS)[AuCl(4)]·C(4)H(8)O, the [AuCl(4)](-) anion shows a typical square-planar geometry. Numerous weak C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds between [AuCl(4)](-) and the 1,3-benzothia-zolium units form layers comprised of 24-membered rings in which hydrogen-bonded tetra-hydro-furan (THF) solvent mol-ecules are accommodated. C-H?Cl inter-actions between THF and [AuCl(4)](-) from adjacent layers result in bilayers. These are further stabilized by ?-? inter-actions between the thia-zole and benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.971?(3)?Å], resulting in the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular assembly.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cr(C(15)H(22)BN(6))Cl(2)(C(5)H(8)N(2))]·C(4)H(8)O, the Cr(III) atom is coordinated by three N atoms from the hydro-tris-(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)borate (Tp*) ligand, one 3,5-dimethyl-pyrazole (Dmpy) N atom and two Cl atoms in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. Two N atoms occupy the axial sites, and the two Cl atoms and other two N atoms from Tp* lie in the equatorial plane. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecules and tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecules are connected via inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:In the title binuclear silver(I) complex, [Ag(2)Br(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·0.85C(4)H(8)O, the two independent silver(I) ions are briged by two bromide ions. One Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphine groups with a square-planar geometry, while the second is coordinated by one triphenyl-phine group with a trigonal-planar geometry. The structure is very similar to that of the dichloro-methane solvate reported by Zhu, Huang & Zheng [Chin. J. Struct. Chem. (1994), 13, 325-327]. The tetrahydrofuran solvent molecule is disordered and was refined with a fixed occupancy of 0.85.

Project description:In the title compound, [Tm(C6H5Se)3(C4H8O)3], the Tm(III) atom lies on a threefold rotation axis and is coordinated by three phenyl-seleno-late ligands and three tetra-hydro-furan ligands leading to a distorted fac-octa-hedral coordination environment. The Tm-Se and Tm-O bond lengths are 2.7692?(17) and 2.345?(10)?Å, respectively, and the bond angles are 91.32?(6)° for Se-Tm-Se, 92.6?(2) and 94.4?(2)° for Se-Tm-O, and 81.2?(3)° for O-Tm-O. In the crystal, the discrete complexes are linked by van der Waals inter-actions only. The crystal was refined as a non-merohedral twin (ratio = 0.65:0.35).

8-Iodo-quinolinium triiodide tetra-hydro-furan solvate.

Project description:The title compound, C(9)H(7)IN(+)·I(3) (-)·C(4)H(8)O, was synthesized from 8-amino-quinoline using the Sandmeyer reaction. The 8-iodo-quinolinium cation is essentially planar and the triiodide ion is almost linear. N-H?O hydrogen bonds, and inter-molecular I?I [3.7100?(5)?Å] and I?H inter-actions, between the cation, anion and solvent mol-ecules result in the formation of sheets oriented parallel to the (03) plane. Between the sheets, 8-iodo-quinolinium and triiodide ions are stacked alternately, with I?C distances in the range ?3.8-4.0?Å.

Project description:In the oxido-centered title compound, [Fe(2)Mn(C(2)HCl(2)O(2))(6)O(C(4)H(8)O)(H(2)O)(2)], the central O atom is linked to three metal atoms, which are themselves each linked to four dichloro-acetate anions, and is in a triangular configuration. Two of the metal atoms are each coordinated by a water mol-ecule, whereas the third is coordinated by a tetra-hydro-furan mol-ecule. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds across centers of inversion, generating a hydrogen-bonded chain along the c axis. The Mn(II) atoms are disordered with respect to the Fe(III) atoms, and the same metal site is occupied by 1/3Mn + 2/3Fe.

The C atoms of the THF molecule are disordered over two positions in a 0.55?(2):0.45?(2) ratio.
