ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Ru(C(14)H(12)N(2))(2)(C(18)H(14)N(4))](ClO(4))(2)·2H(2)O, consists of an Ru(II) complex cation, two perchlorate anions and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The Ru(II) ion is chelated by a 10,11,12,13-tetra-hydro-dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine ligand and two 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The two uncoord-inated water mol-ecules are disordered over five positions, with an occupancy factor of about 0.4 for each site. A supra-molecular structure is formed by weak ?-? inter-actions between neighbouring mol-ecules, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.618?(2) and 3.749?(2)?Å.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(6)Cl(6)N(2), contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules, each of which is slightly twisted from planarity. The dihedral angles between the central ring and the two outer rings are 3.81?(7) and 4.30?(7)° in one mol-ecule, and 4.13?(8) and 4.10?(7)° in the other. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are inter-linked by C-Cl?Cl inter-actions into sheets parallel to the ac plane. These sheets are stacked along the b axis in such a way that the mol-ecules are anti-parallel; they are further connected into a supra-molecular network. There are no classical hydrogen bonds. C?Cl [3.637?(2)?Å], Cl?Cl [3.5639?(5)-3.6807?(8)?Å] and Cl?N [3.3802?(15)-3.4093?(15)?Å] short contacts and ?-? inter-actions, with centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.5868?(9)-3.7844?(9)?Å, are observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ru(C12H8N2)3](ClO4)2, contains one octahedrally coordinated Ru(II) cation of the ruthenium-phenanthroline complex and three differently occupied perchlorate anions: two, denoted A and B, are located on the twofold axis while another, denoted C, is positioned in the proximity of the twofold screw axis. Perchlorate anions B and C are severely disordered. The occupancies of the two major conformers of anion B refined to 0.302?(6) and 0.198?(6). Perchlorate ion C was modeled in two alternate conformations which refined to occupancies of 0.552?(10) and 0.448?(10).

Project description:In the title complex, [Pb(NO(3))(2)(C(14)H(12)N(2))(2)], the lead ion is chelated by two 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmphen) ligands and two nitrate anions in a slightly distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry. Intra- and inter-molecular π-π stacking is present in the crystal structure, and the centroid-centroid distances between the benzene and pyridine rings of adjacent dmphen ligands are 3.492 (3) and 3.592 (3) Å, respectively. Inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions help to stabilize the crystal structure.
