Bis[bis-(4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(10,11,12,13-tetra-hydro-dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine)ruthenium(II)] tetra-kis(perchlorate) acetonitrile disolvate monohydrate.

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ru(C(12)H(12)N(2))(2)(C(18)H(14)N(4))](2)(ClO(4))(4)·2CH(3)CN·H(2)O, contains two Ru(II) complex cations, four perchlorate counter-anions, two uncoord-inated acetonitrile mol-ecules and one water mol-ecule. The Ru(II) ions are chelated by one 10,11,12,13-tetra-hydro-dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine (dpqc) and two 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (dmb) ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The uncoordinated water mol-ecule is disordered over three positions, with occupancy factors of 0.398?(9), 0.312?(8) and 0.290?(8). A supra-molecular structure is formed by weak ?-? inter-actions between neighbouring mol-ecules, with face-to-face distances of 3.51?(1)?Å [centroid-centroid distance 3.81?(1)?Å].

Project description:In the cation of the title compound, [Ru(CH(3)CN)(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)](BF(4))(2), the Ru(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by the N atoms of the two 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) ligands and two cis-arranged acetonitrile mol-ecules. The dihedral angles formed by the pyridine rings of the bpy ligands are 8.86?(12) and 10.12?(14)°. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked by C-H?F hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric dinuclear title compound, [Cu(2)(C(2)H(3)N)(2)(C(18)H(10)N(4))(2)(C(32)H(30)N(2)P(2))](BF(4))(2), the Cu(I) centre is coordinated by two N atoms from a dipyridophenazine ligand, one P atom from an N,N'-bis-[(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)meth-yl]benzene-1,4-diamine (bpbda) ligand, and one N atom from an acetonitrile mol-ecule in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The bpbda ligand, lying on an inversion center, bridges two Cu(I) centres into a Z-shaped complex. Intra-molecular ?-? inter-actions between the dipyridophenazine ligand and the benzene ring of the bpbda ligand are observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.459?(3)?Å]. The crystal structure also involves inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between the dipyridophenazine ligands [centroid-centroid distance = 3.506?(3)?Å], which lead to a one-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:In the title compound, {[Co(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)(4)](ClO(4))(2)·2C(10)H(8)N(2)·2H(2)O}(n), slightly distorted octa-hedrally coordinated Co(II) ions situated on inversion centers are linked into polycationic chains through 4,4'-bipyridine tethering ligands. These are connected into supra-molecular layers by hydrogen bonding involving aqua ligands, perchlorate anions and uncoordinated water mol-ecules. A twofold inter-penetrated primitive cubic supra-molecular network is formed by the inter-action of pseudo-layers by hydrogen bonding between aqua ligands and unligated 4,4'-bipyridine mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(2)H(3)N)(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·2C(2)H(3)N, was obtained upon stirring an acetonitrile/ethanol solution of [RuCl(2)(PPh(3))(3)]. In the crystal structure, each Ru(II) ion is coordinated by two Cl [Ru-Cl = 2.4308 (7) and 2.4139 (7) Å], two N [Ru-N = 2.016 (2) and 2.003 (2) Å], and two P [Ru-P = 2.3688 (7) and 2.3887 (7) Å] atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Packing inter-actions include typical C-H⋯π contacts involving phenyl groups as well as weak hydrogen bonds between CH(3)CN methyl H atoms and Cl or solvent CH(3)CN N atoms.

Project description:In the title compound, [Mn(3)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(3)(C(14)H(8)N(4))(2)](n), one Mn atom is located on an inversion centre and is six-coordinated by four carboxyl-ate O atoms from different benzene-1,4-dicarboxyl-ate (1,4-bdc) ligands and two phenanthrene N atoms from a dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine ligand. The other Mn atom is also six-coordinate, binding to six carboxyl-ate O atoms from different 1,4-bdc ligands. The dicarboxyl-ate groups chelate and bridge the two Mn atoms and a symmetry-related Mn atom to form a trimanganese unit. Bridging of the trinuclear Mn(II) clusters leads to a two-dimensional structure.

Project description:The complete mol-ecule of the title compound, [MnCl(2)(C(18)H(10)N(4))(2)], is generated by crystallographic twofold symmetry with the Mn atom lying on the rotation axis. The Mn coordination geometry is a distorted cis-MnCl(2)N(4) octa-hedron, arising from two N,N'-bidentate dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine (DPPZ) ligands and two chloride ions. In the crystal structure, neighbouring mononuclear units pack together through ?-? contacts between the DPPZ rings [shortest centroid-centroid distance = 3.480?(2)?Å], leading to a chain-like structure along [001]. C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds complete the structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Ru(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)(C(13)H(7)N(3)S)](PF(6))(2)·CH(3)CN, was synthesized by the reaction of thio-phosgene and bis-(2,2'-bipyridine)(1,10-phenanthrolin-5-amine)ruthenium(II) bis-(hexa-fluoridophosphate). The Ru(II) atom adopts a slightly distorted octa-hedral RuN(6) coordinaton formed by four N atoms of two bipyridine ligands and by two N atoms of the 1,10-phenantroline ligand. The isothio-cyanate group is almost linear, with an N-C-S angle of 174.4?(6)°. Two of the three hexa-fluoridophosphate counter-anions are located on inversion centres.
