ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(19)H(15)O(2)P, the dihedral angles between the benzoic acid ring and the phenyl rings are 75.64?(7) and 80.88?(7)°; the dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 81.35?(7)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H?O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(8) loops between the head-to-head carb-oxy-lic acid groups.

Project description:The title compound, C(21)H(16)NP, is a known P-N chelator and various crystal structures of its metal complexes have been reported. However, no crystallographic evidence of the free ligand has been given to date. The phenyl rings are almost orthogonal to one another [dihedral angle = 88.9?(1)°], and they are twisted from the mean plane of the quinoline by 80.5?(1) and 76.3?(1)°.

Project description:The absolute configuration of the title mol-ecule, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(38)H(34)NP(2))]·CHCl(3), is R,R(p). The mol-ecular structure is similar to the structure of the solvent-free compound [Fukuzawa, Yamamoto & Kikuchi (2007 ▶). J. Org. Chem. 72, 1514-1517], but some torsion angles about the P-C(phen-yl) bonds differ by up to 25°. The P atoms and the N atom have a distorted trigonal-pyramidal geometry. The chloro-form solvate group donates a C-H⋯π bond to the central benzene ring and is also involved in six inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl contacts with H⋯Cl distances between 2.96 and 3.13 Å.

Project description:The absolute configuration of the title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(36)H(29)OP(2))], is S(p) at the ferrocene group and S at the asymmetric C atom. Both P atoms have a trigonal-pyramidal conformation. There is a short intra-molecular C-H⋯P contact with an H⋯P distance of 2.56 Å. The hydr-oxy group is involved in an intra-molecular O-H⋯π(phen-yl) inter-action. The crystal packing shows five very weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π contacts, with H⋯Cg distances between 3.26 and 3.39 Å (Cg is the centroid of a phenyl or cyclo-penta-dienyl ring).

Project description:In the title compound, C(31)H(27)NP(2), the diphenyl-phosphanyl groups are staggered relative to the PNP backbone. The N atom is displaced by 0.219 (2) Å from the plane formed by the two P atoms and the methylene C atom. The angles around the N atom are 120.84 (16), 113.29 (16) and 120.57 (12)°, indicating that it exhibits a distorted trigonal-pyramidal geometry. There are no classical inter-molecular inter-actions.

Project description:The coordination around the N atom in the title compound, C(29)H(29)NP(2), shows an almost planar geometry, defined by the attached P and C atoms, in order to accomodate the steric bulk of the phenyl rings. The distortion of the trigonal-pyramidal geometry of the N atom is illustrated by the bond angles ranging between 115.22?(12) and 121.76?(9)°. The P atoms present a pyramidal environment with bond angles ranging from 100.62?(9) to 104.71?(8)°. One of the C atoms in the cyclo-pentyl ring displays a 0.822?(4):0.178?(4) positional disorder. Within the crystal structure, intra-molecular C-H?P hydrogen bonds together with inter- and intra-molecular C-H?? inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular two-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(36)H(26)OP(2), comprises two mol-ecules which have slightly different conformations of the phenyl ring substituents. In both mol-ecules, the dibenzofuran unit is close to being planar, with dihedral angles of 3.20 (3) and 1.86 (2)° for the two mol-ecules. Its planarity affects the intra-molecular distances between P atoms, with P⋯P distances of 5.574 (2) and 5.485 (2) Å for the two mol-ecules.

Project description:The title complex, [Au(2)Cl(2)(C(26)H(21)NP(2))], has an intra-molecular Au?Au inter-action of 3.1669?(4)?Å, but no inter-molecular Au?Au inter-actions in the solid state. The Cl-Au-P bond angle of 176.84?(7)° is slightly distorted from linearity. The P-C bond length to the phenyl group is shorter [1.810?(7)?Å] than the P-C bond length [1.876?(7)?Å] to the bridging carbon, indicative of the flexibility of the bidentate bite of the ligand. The C-C N fragment is essentially linear at 179.5?(9)° and the C N bond length of 1.125?(11)?Å indicates predominantly triple-bond character. In the crystal packing, there are no hydrogen-bonding or aurophilic inter-actions between the mol-ecules.

Project description:In the cobaltocenium group of the title compound, [AuCo(C(5)H(5))(C(17)H(14)P)Cl]PF(6), the substituted cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cps) and the unsubstituted cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ring planes are almost parallel, making a dihedral angle of 3.1?(3)°. The C atoms in Cp and Cps are in an eclipsed conformation. The Au(I) atom is coordinated by a P atom from the diphenyl-phosphanyl group and a Cl atom in an almost linear arrangement [P-Au-Cl = 178.15-(7)°]. Two hexa-fluorido-phosphate anions are each located on a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, the complex cations and hexa-fluorido-phosphate anions are linked via inter-molecular C-H?F hydrogen bonds.
