ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Cd(NO(3))(2)(C(12)H(12)N(6))(2)](n), the Cd(II) cation is located on an inversion center and is six-coordinated by four N atoms from four 1,3-bis-[(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)meth-yl]benzene (L) ligands and two O atoms from two nitrate anions in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The ligands link different Cd(II) ions into a ribbon-like structure along [001]. Two O atoms of the nitrate anion are disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancies of 0.575?(8) and 0.425?(8).

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(C2N3)2(C12H12N6)2] n the Co(II) atom lies on a centre of symmetry and displays a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The 1,2-bis-[(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)meth-yl]benzene ligands link adjacent metal atoms into polymeric chains parallel to the c axis, forming centrosymmetric 26-membered metallamacrocycles. The conformation of the metallamacrocycles is stabilized by pairs of C-H?N hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles formed by the planes of the triazole rings with those of the benzene ring are 79.4?(2) and 79.1?(2)°. In the crystal, the chains inter-act through C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title Cu(II) coordination polymer, {[Cu(C(7)H(10)N(6))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2)·H(2)O}(n), was obtained by the reaction of equimolar Cu(NO(3))(2)·4H(2)O and 1,3-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propane (btp) in a water-methanol solvent. The Cu(II) atom is located on a centre of inversion and has an elongated octa-hedral coordination geometry formed by four N atoms from four symmetry-related btp ligands and two coordinated water mol-ecules. Adjacent Cu(II) atoms are connected by btp ligands, generating a double-stranded chain. The nitrate anion is disordered over two positions in a 0.828?(7):0.172?(2) ratio.

Project description:The structure of the dinuclear title complex, [Cu2(C10H8N7)2(NO3)2(H2O)2]·2H2O, consists of centrosymmetric dimeric units with a copper-copper separation of 4.0408 (3) Å. The Cu(II) ions in the dimer display a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry and are bridged by two triazole rings, forming an approximately planar Cu2N4 core (r.m.s. deviation = 0.049 Å). The 1,4-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-yl)butane ligand is centrosymmetric, the mid-point of the central C-C bond being located on an inversion center. It links adjacent water-coordinated metal atoms into polymeric chains running along the c axis. Adjacent chains are linked by O-H?N hydrogen bonds. The S atom of the sulfate anion is located on a twofold rotation axis, thus the sulfate anion is equally disordered over two sites. The sulfate anion links with the polymeric chains via O-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
