ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Mo(C(25)H(22)P(2))(C(30)H(34)O(2)P(2)Si)(N(2))(2)]·0.7C(6)H(6), the Mo atoms are coordinated by four P atoms and two N atoms in a distorted octa-hedral mode. The two C atoms of one of the two eth-oxy groups are disordered and were refined using a split model and site-occupation factors of 0.7:0.3. The crystal structure contains a benzene solvent mol-ecule with a site occupation of 70%.

Project description:The title compound, [Au(2)Br(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))], features linearly coordinated Au(I) atoms within P,Br-donor sets. The central portion of the mol-ecule is practically planar as quanti-fied by the Br-Au⋯Au-Br torsion angle of -169.9 (2)°. The P-Au-Br chromophores are twisted with respect to each other [dihedral angle = 52.3 (6)°]. The benzene rings on each P atom lie on either side of this plane. The Au atoms are positioned at the periphery of the mol-ecule, which facilitates the formation of Au⋯Au inter-actions [3.2575 (11) Å] that result in the formation of supra-molecular chains along the b-axis direction. The Au⋯Au inter-actions are responsible for the deviations from the ideal linear geometry for each Au atom.

The seven-coord-inated tungsten(II) centres display distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometries with trans nitrosyl and chloride ligands. The title mol-ecule lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. The ethane group of the non-bridging depe ligand is positionally disordered, with site-occupancy factors of 0.63 and 0.37. In the crystal structure, the binuclear mol-ecules are linked by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions. In addition, weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl inter-actions are also present.

The anion is disordered over two positions, with an occupancy ratio of 0.524 (17):0.476 (17). The cations and anions are closely packed in the crystal and are in h.c.p. arrangements.
