ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(18)H(32)N(4)O(2)S(2), the dihedral angle between the two thio-urea groups is 78.55?(7)°. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds and the crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming centrosymmetric dimers.

The central cyclo-hexane bridge adopts a chair conformation. The mol-ecule is stabilized by N-H?O intra-molecular hydrogen bonds forming S(6) rings, and N-H?O and N-H?S inter-molecular hydrogen bonds forming infinite chains developing parallel to the b axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(22)H(18)N(4)O(2)S(2), was characterized by (1)H and (13)C NMR, solid-state IR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallographic techniques. The crystal structure determination reveals that the twisting modes of the two side arms are different [C-N-C-O and C-N-C-N torsion angles = -1.2 (3) and 1.1 (3)°, respectively, in one arm and 24.1 (3) and -5.1 (3)°, respectively, in the other]. The crystal structure involves N-H⋯O and N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title thio-cyanate-coordinated aza-macrocyclic copper(II) complex, [Cu(NCS)(2)(C(24)H(38)N(6))], the Cu(II) atom is coordinated by the four secondary N atoms of the aza-macrocyclic ligand and by the two N atoms of the thio-cyanate ions in a tetra-gonally distorted octa-hedral geometry. The average equatorial Cu-N bond length is shorter than the average axial Cu-N bond length [2.010 (2) and 2.528 (4) Å, respectively]. An N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-action between the secondary amine N atom and the adjacent thio-cyanate ion leads to a polymeric chain along the a axis.

The axial Ru-P bonds are longer than the equatorial Ru-P bonds and there is an acute P-Ru-P angle.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C16H22N2O2S, contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules (A and B). In mol-ecule A, the cyclo-hexane ring is disordered over two orientations [occupancy ratio 0.841?(10):0.159?(10)]. In each mol-ecule, the central carbonyl thio-urea unit is nearly planar (r.m.s. deviations for all non-H atoms of 0.034?Å in mol-ecule A and 0.094?Å in mol-ecule B). In both mol-ecules, the cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation. The mean plane of the cyclo-hexane ring makes dihedral angles of 35.8?(4) (mol-ecule A) and 20.7?(3)° (mol-ecule B) with that of the benzene ring. Each mol-ecule features an intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond, which closes an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of weak N-H?S inter-actions, forming inversion dimers with an R 2 (2)(8) ring motif for both mol-ecules. The crystal structure also features weak C-H?? ring inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Rb2(P2S6)(C12H24O6)2]·2CH3CN, contains one half of an [Rb(18-crown-6)2]2[P2S6] unit and one aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecule. The [Rb(18-crown-6)]2[P2S6] unit is completed by inversion symmetry. Its Rb(+) ion is situated near the centre of the macrocyclic cavity, but is displaced by 0.8972?(1)?Å from the O atoms of the crown in the direction of the [P2S6](2-) moiety. The overall coordination number of the cation is eight, defined by the six crown ether O atoms and by two terminal S atoms of the [P2S6](2-) anion. The hexa-thio-metadiphosphate anion is built up from two tetra-hedral PS4 units joined together by a common edge. The crystal structure is characterized by alternating layers of [Rb(18-crown-6)]2[P2S6] and aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecules stacked along [010].
