Tetrakis(thiourea-?S)palladium(II) dithio-cyanate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Pd(CH(4)N(2)S)(4)](SCN)(2), consists of complex [Pd(TU)(4)](2+) [TU = thio-urea, SC(NH(2))(2)] cations and thio-cyanate counter-anions. The Pd(II) cation is situated on an inversion centre and exhibits an almost square-planar coordination by the S atoms of the TU ligands. The complex cations are connected through the thio-cyanate ions via N-H?N [2.922?(3)-3.056?(3)?Å] and N-H?S [3.369?(2)-3.645?(2)?Å] hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title salt, K(3)[Pb(CH(3)COO)(2)(NCS)](NCS)(2), the [Pb(CH(3)COO)(2)(NCS)](-) anion exists as a covalently bonded entity in which the acetate anions chelate in an anisobidentate manner. The Pb atom shows a distorted ?-octa-hedral coordination to four acetate O atoms and one isocyanate N atom, with the stereochemically active lone pair occupying one of the six sites. When the three longer Pb?S inter-actions are considered, the eight-coordinate geometry is based on a dodeca-hedron. The Pb(CH(3)COO)(2)(NCS)](-) anion has mirror symmetry. The potassium cations connect the other constituents into a three-dimensional network through electrostatic K?N and K?S inter-actions.

Project description:The title complex, [Ni(C(13)H(20)N(2)O(2))(2)](NCS)(2), consists of a centrosymmetric mononuclear four-coordinate nickel(II) complex cation and two thio-cyanate anions. The Ni atom is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by two phenol O atoms and two imine N atoms from two equivalent Schiff base ligands, in a square-planar geometry. In the crystal structure, the amino H atoms are involved in N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with the phenol and meth-oxy O atoms of the ligand, and in N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds with the N atoms of the thio-cyanate anions, which sit above and below the Ni atom.

Project description:In the title tetra-nuclear compound, [Cu4(C7H14NO)4Cl4], each Cu(II) cation is N,O-chelated by a piperidineethanolate anion and coordinated by a Cl(-) anion and two O atoms from neighboring piperidine-ethano-late anions in a distorted NO3Cl square-pyramidal geometry. The deprotonated hydroxyl groups of the piperidineethanolate anions bridge Cu(II) cations, forming the tetra-nuclear complex. All piperidine rings display a chair conformation. Project description:In the centrosymmetric dinuclear title compound, [Pd2(C4H7)2(C16H14N2S2)], the metal atom is ?(3)-coordinated by three C atoms of a crotyl ligand [Pd-C = 2.147?(4), 2.079?(5) and 2.098?(5)?Å], the longest distance influenced by the steric inter-action with the benzyl substituents of the di-benzyl-dithio-oximidate (DTO) ligand. The Pd-N and Pd-S bonds to this ligand are 2.080?(3) and 2.3148?(9)?Å, respectively, completing a square-planar coordination environment for Pd(II). The benzyl groups are oriented so as to maximize the inter-action between a benzylic H atom and an S atom, resulting in a dihedral angle of 77.1?(2)° between the benzene rings and the metal complex plane. In the crystal, no inter-complex hydrogen-bonding inter-actions are present.

Project description:The title crystal, [HgZn(NCSe)4] n , a coordination polymer, has a diamond-like network. In the crystal, the metal ions, Zn(2+) and Hg(2+), are both located on fourfold inversion axes and mimic the role of C atoms in the structure of diamond, and the linear seleno-cyanate bridges replace the C-C bonds. The C-N-Zn unit is almost linear and the C-Se-Hg unit is nearly a right angle. Thus, the HgZn4 (or ZnHg4) arrangement is midway between a tetra-hedron and a square plane, with two types of Hg-Zn-Hg (or Zn-Hg-Zn) angles of 92.38?(6) and 156.45?(6)°.
