Poly[[aqua-[μ(3)-(2,6-H(2))-isonicotinato-κN:O:O'][μ(2)-(2,6-H(2))-isonicotinato-κN:O]manganese(II)] ethanol solvate].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, {[Mn(C(6)H(2)D(2)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)]·C(2)H(6)O}(n), the Mn(II) metal centre displays a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, provided by three O and two N atoms of five isonicotinate ligands and one O atom of a water mol-ecule. There are two types of isonicotinate anions, one acting as a bridging tridentate group and the other in a bridging bidentate fashion, to form a polymeric three-dimensional network. The structure is stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bond inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, [CuEu(2)(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(8)(H(2)O)(4)](n), displays a one-dimensional chain structure. The four-coordinate Cu(II) ion (site symmetry ) adopts a trans-CuN(2)O(2) geometry and is bridged by two carboxyl-ate groups from two isonicotinate ligands. The Eu(III) ion adopts a distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry, being coordinated by four O atoms from bridging carboxyl-ate groups of four isonicotinate ligands, two O atoms from chelating carboxyl-ate groups of one isonicotinate ligand and two O atoms from coordinated water mol-ecules; adjacent Eu(III) ions in the chain are related by inversion. The water mol-ecules interact with the ligands via O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds [O⋯O = 2.782 (3)-2.881 (3) Å], which link the chains into a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:The title coordination polymer, {[MnCl(C(18)H(14)N(4)O)(2)(H(2)O)]Cl·C(3)H(7)NO·H(2)O}(n), obtained by the solvothermal reaction of BIDPE and manganese(II) salt in H(2)O/DMF (DMF is dimethyl-formamide), is composed of a chain of [Mn(2)(BIDPE)(2)] [BIDPE is 1,1'-(oxydi-p-phenyl-ene)di-1H-imidazole] metallocyclic rings that exhibit inversion symmetry. The coordination about the Mn(II) ions is distorted octahedral with a MnClN(4)O coordination set. In the crystal, the polymeric chains are linked by O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to (100). A number of C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯O inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Mn(C(12)H(6)O(4))(H(2)O)](n), contains one Mn(II) ion, one 1,8-naphthalene-dicarboxyl-ate (1,8-NDC) ligand and one water mol-ecule. The Mn(II) ion is six-coordinated within a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, in which the equatorial sites are occupied by four carboxyl-ate O atoms from four different 1,8-NDC ligands, while the axial positions are occupied by two O atoms of two coordinated water mol-ecules. Adjacent Mn(II) centres are bridged by one coordinated water and two carboxyl-ate groups in a syn-syn mode to form infinite chains along the b axis, which are further cross-linked by the naphthalene spacers of the 1,8-NDC ligands to produce a two-dimensional extended network.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title salt, [Mn(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)(4)][Mn(2)(C(8)H(3)O(7)S)(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(4)]·4H(2)O, consists of mononuclear manganese(II) cations, dinuclear manganate(II) dianions and uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The dianion is located about an inversion center; the Mn(II) atom is coordinated by a 2,2'-bipyridine ligand, a sulfonatoisophthalate group, a water mol-ecule along with two bridging water mol-ecules in an octa-hedral geometry. The cation lies on a twofold rotation axis; the Mn(II) atom is coordinated by four water mol-ecules and a chelating 2,2'-bipyridine ligand in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. A partially overlapped arrangement between the bipyridine ligands and the aromatic ring of the sulfoisophthalate group of adjacent anions is observed; the distance (3.357 Å) indicates π-π stacking. Hydrogen bonds, with the water mol-ecules serving as hydrogen-bond donors, lead to a three-dimensional network architecture.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Mn(2)(C(8)H(7)O(2))(4)(C(10)H(14)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)](n), contains two crystallographically independent units. In each one, the Mn(II) ions are bridged by two 4-methyl-benzoate (PMB) ligands and one water mol-ecule. In the crystal structure, each Mn(II) ion is coordinated by three PMB ligands, one water mol-ecule and two symmetry-related N,N-diethyl-nicotinamide (DENA) ligands. Symmetry-related Mn(II) ions are bridged by the N and O atoms of symmetry-related DENA ligands, forming polymeric chains parallel to [100]. The coord-ination environmnts for the Mn(II) ions are slightly distorted octa-hedral. Intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link bridging water mol-ecules to the carboxyl-ate O atoms of a neigh-boring polymeric chain. In the crystal structure, π-π contacts between benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.562 (1) Å] and weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also observed.

The Sm(III) atoms are bridged by two carboxyl-ate groups of two isonicotinate ligands, forming an extended chain along the c-axis direction. These chains are cross-linked through hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional framework, with channels which accommodate the chloride anions.

Project description:In the polymeric title compound, {[Mn(2)(SO(4))(2)(C(30)H(36)N(6))(H(2)O)(2)]·6H(2)O}(n), the two Mn(2+) ions are bridged by two sulfate anions to form dinuclear complexes, and these dinuclear species are linked by the hexa-dentate ligand N,N,N',N'-tetra-kis(2-pyridylmeth-yl)hexane-1,6-diamine (tphn), forming a one-dimensional chain structure running in the [101] direction. The repeat unit of the polymer, Mn(2)(SO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(tphn), is disposed about a twofold axis passing through the centre of the dinuclear unit. The coordination geometry around the Mn centre is distorted octa-hedral. Two methylene groups are each disordered equally over two positions.

Project description:In the crystal structure of {[Ag(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]·C(2)H(6)O}(n), the 4-pyridylcarboxyl-ate ion binds to the phosphine-coordinated silver atoms through one of the two oxygen atoms of the carboxyl unit, and to a third phosphine-coordinate silver atom through the nitro-gen atom of the aromatic ring, giving a distorted tetra-hedral coordination at the metal atom. The ?(3)-bridging mode leads to a layer motif; the disordered ethanol mol-ecules are linked to the free carboxyl oxygen atom by O-H?O hydrogen bonds.
