Project description:The title compound, C(12)H(8)N(4)O(2)·C(8)H(6)O(4), was synthesized from 4-[5-(4-pyrid-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl]pyridine N-oxide and isophthalic acid. The two mol-ecules are linked through O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds. Weak intra-molecular ?-? inter-actions between the two hydrogen-bonded chains result in the formation a one-dimensional supra-molecular curved tape (the face-to-face distance between the pyridine N-oxide ring and the benzene ring is 3.7?Å).

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(17)H(11)BrN(3))], was synthesized by the reaction of 4-bromo-benzaldehyde, acetyl-ferrocene and ammonium acetate in an aqueous medium. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles between the phenyl ring and the pyridine and cyclopentadienyl rings are 51.67 (13) and 12.12 (21)°, respectively.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C7H7Br2N, the C-Br vectors of the bromo-methyl groups extend to opposite sides of the pyridine ring and are oriented nearly perpendicular to its plane. In the crystal, the mol-ecules related by a c-glide-plane operation are arranged into stacks along the c axis, with centroid-centroid distances between neighboring aromatic rings of 3.778?(2)?Å. Project description:The title compound, C(11)H(15)BrN(2)O(2), contains an amide group which is close to coplanar with the adjacent pyridine ring, the dihedral angle between the planes being 9.0?(5)°. The mol-ecular packing reveals a mutual hydrogen-bond inter-action between centrosymmetrically related hydroxyl O atoms. Further hydrogen bonding involving O-H?Br and N-H?Br inter-actions also appears to consolidate the packing.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, C(10)H(11)BrN(4), the plane of the substituted 1,2,3-triazole ring is tilted by 14.84?(10)° with respect to the mean plane of the pyridine ring. The pyridine and closest triazole N atoms adopt an anti arrangement which removes any lone pair-lone pair repulsions between the N atoms. This conformation is further stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H?N inter-actions. There are two mol-ecules in the unit cell, which form a centrosymmetric head-to-tail dimer. The dimers are stabilized through ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.733?(4)?Å and mean inter-planar distance = 3.806?(12)?Å] between the substituted 1,2,3-triazole ring and the pyridine rings in adjacent mol-ecules. Each dimer inter-acts with two neighbouring dimers above and below, forming a slipped stack of dimers through the crystal. The 3-bromo-propyl chain sits over the pyridine ring of a neighbouring mol-ecule and the triazole rings of nearby mol-ecules are adjacent.

Crystal structure of 3-bromo-pyridine N-oxide.

Project description:In the title compound, C5H4BrNO, there are two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit that are related by a pseudo-inversion center. The two independent mol-ecules are approximately planar, with an observed (ring-ring) angle of 5.49?(13)°. The crystal structure exhibits a herringbone pattern with the zigzag running along the b-axis direction. The least-squares plane containing the rings of both asymmetric molecules and the plane containing the symmetrically related mol-ecules make a plane-plane angle of 66.69?(10)°, which makes the bend of the herringbone pattern. The bromo group on one mol-ecule points to the bromo group on the neighboring mol-ecule, with a Br?Br inter-molecular distance of 4.0408?(16)?Å. The herringbone layer-to-layer distance is 3.431?(4)?Å with a shift of 1.742?(7)?Å. There are no short contacts, hydrogen bonds, or ?-? inter-actions.
