ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ni(C(18)H(13)N(2)O(2)S)(2)], the Ni(II) atom is coordinated by the S and O atoms of two N-furoyl-N',N'-diphenyl-thio-ureate ligands in a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry. The two O and two S atoms are cis to each other.

Project description:Yellow plate-like shaped crystals of the title compound, [Pd(C(9)H(10)N(3)S)(2)], were obtained by ligand-exchange reaction between palladium(II) acetyl-acetonate and the corresponding organic reagent at room temperature. The Pd(II) atom shows a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry consisting of two ligand mol-ecules in a cis conformation that bind in their thio-lic tautomeric form. Weak inter-molecular Pd?H inter-actions with Pd-H distances of 3.328?(2)?Å were observed in the crystal structure. The three-dimensional network of the crystal structure is realized by weak inter-molecular C-H?N, N-H?N and C-H?S hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ni(NCS)2(C6H6N2O)2(H2O)2], the Ni(II) ion is located on an inversion center and is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral environment by two N atoms from two nicotinamide ligands and two water mol-ecules in the equatorial plane, and two N atoms from two thio-cyanate anions in the axial positions, all acting as monodentate ligands. In the crystal, weak N-H?S hydrogen bonds between the amino groups and the thio-cyanate anions form an R 4 (2)(8) motif. The complex mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O, O-H?S, and N-H?S hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. Weak ?-? inter-actions between the pyridine rings is also found [centroid-centroid distance = 3.8578?(14)?Å].

Project description:The title compound, [Mg(NCS)(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)], has been synthesized from the hydro-thermal reaction of MgCl(2), KSCN, 1,10-phenanthroline and H(2)O. Its structure is isotypic with the Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) analogues. The Mg(II) cation has a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry containing four N atoms from two 1,10-phenanthroline mol-ecules and two N atoms from two thio-cyanate anions.
