ABSTRACT: The title complex, [Na(C(12)H(24)O(6))](2)[InNa(NCS)(6)(C(12)H(24)O(6))]·1.5C(2)H(4)Cl(2), has been synthesized by the reaction of 18-crown-6 with InCl(3) and NaSCN. The In atom has a six-coordinate octa-hedral environment, being bonded to the N atoms of six thio-cyanate groups. The bond lengths and angles show normal values. The crystal packing exhibits no significantly short inter-molecular contacts.

Project description:In the title complex, [Na(C(2)HCl(2)O(3)S(2))(C(10)H(20)O(5))], there are two independent complex units in the asymmetric unit, one of which has a 55:45% disorder in the 15-crown-5 component. The coordination sphere about the Na atom in each complex unit comprises five bonds to O atoms of the crown ether [Na-O = 2.390?(7)-2.466?(6)?Å] and one to a thio-sulfate O atom [Na-O = 2.305?(4) and 2.447?(3)?Å].

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, C(2)H(10)N(2) (2+)·C(8)H(2)Cl(2)O(4) (2-), the dications and dianions form hydrogen-bonded ribbon substructures which enclose conjoint cyclic R(2) (1)(7), R(1) (2)(7) and R(4) (2)(8) associations and extend down the c-axis direction. These ribbons inter-associate down b, giving a two-dimensional sheet structure. In the dianions, one of the carboxyl-ate groups is essentially coplanar with the benzene ring, while the other is normal to it [C-C-C-O torsion angles = 177.67?(12) and 81.94?(17)°, respectively].

Each Ni(II) ion is chelated by two N atoms from two N-phenyl-ethane-1,2-diamine ligands and is also coordinated by two N atoms from two thio-cyanate ligands, giving a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Project description:The reaction of manganese seleno-cyanate with 1,2-bis-(pyridin-4-yl)ethane (bpa) leads to the title compound, {[Mn(NCSe)2(C12H12N2)(CH3OH)2]·C12H12N2} n . The Mn(II) cation is coordinated by two N-bonded seleno-cyanate anions, two bpa ligands and two O-bonded methanol mol-ecules, within a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Mn(II) cations and the non-coordinating N-donor ligands are located on centers of inversion while the coordinating N-donor co-ligands are located on a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, the Mn(II) cations are linked into chains along the c-axis direction by the bpa ligands. The chains are further connected via a non-coordinating bpa ligand into layers parallel to (3-10) via O-H?N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.
