ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Li(C(27)H(23)N(2))(C(4)H(10)O)], the Li atom possesses a nearly planar trigonal coordination environment (assuming the cyclo-penta-dienyl ring of the indenyl group occupies one coordination place). The diethyl ether ligand adopts a nearly planar W-type conformation.

Project description:The title compound, [ZrCl(3)(C(19)H(25)N(2)Si)(C(4)H(8)O)], was prepared from bis-(N,N-dimethyl-amido-?N)(2-{2-[(1,2,3,3a,7a-?)-inden-yl]-2-methyl-prop-yl}-1H-imidazolido-?N(1))zirconium(IV) [(C(16)H(16)N(2))Zr(NMe(2))] by reaction with excess Me(3)SiCl in tetra-hydro-furan (THF) at elevated temperature. The crystal studied contained a minor non-merohedral twin contaminant [6.3?(4)%] which was taken into account during the refinement. The coordination polyhedron of the Zr(IV) atom is a distorted octa-hedron [assuming that the five-membered ring of the indenyl group (Cp) occupies one coordination site], with the Cp group and a THF O atom at the apical positions and the three Cl and ligating N atoms at the equatorial positions. The Zr, Si and the methyl-ene C atoms deviate noticeably from the imidazole ring plane [by -0.197?(5), -0.207?(5) and 0.119?(6)?Å, respectively]. The THF ligand adopts an envelope conformation.

Project description:The reaction of [RuCl(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)] with benzo-phenone imine in methanol, in the presence of sodium azide, leads to the formation of the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(N(3))(HN=CPh(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]·C(4)H(10)O, which crystallizes as the diethyl ether solvate. In the crystal structure, the Ru atom is coordinated by three N atoms of one hydridotris(pyrazoly)borate anion, one P atom of one triphenyl-phosphine ligand, one N atom of the azide anion and one N atom of the benzophenone-imine ligand in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The azide anion is almost linear [177.0 (5)°], with an Ru-N-N angle of 125.9 (3)°. There is a small difference between the N-N distances [1.200 (5) and 1.164 (5) Å], the longer bond being adjacent to the Ru atom.

Among the C atoms of the complexed arene ring, the quaternary C atom is located at the longest distance from the Fe atom. The F atoms of the PF(6) (-) anion were found to be equally disordered over two sites.

The asymmetric unit comprises one half-mol-ecule, the structural dimeric unit being generated by inversion symmetry with an Mg?Mg distance of 3.469?(2)?Å. The Mg(II) atom exhibits a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. The crystal packing is defined by van der Waals inter-actions only.

The Zn(II) ions are linked by μ(2)-OH-bdc (OH-H(2)bdc = 5-hy-droxy-isophthalic acid) and bbie ligands [bbie = 2,2'-diethyl-1,1'-(butane-1,4-di-yl)diimidazole], forming a two-dimensional layer parallel to the ab plane. The layers are further connected through intermolecular C-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. In the bbie ligand, the two C atoms in the ethyl group are each disordered over two positions with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.69:0.31.
