Poly[[aquadi-?(3)-malonato-hexaphenyl-ditin(IV)] acetone solvate].

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title polymeric complex, {[Sn(2)=(C(6)H(5))(6)(C(3)H(2)O(4))(H(2)O)]·C(3)H(6)O}(n), comprises of two Sn cations, one malonate anion and a non-coordinating acetone solvent mol-ecule. Both crystallographically independent Sn cations are five-coordinated by two O and three C atoms in a distorted trigonal-bipyrimidal geometry. One of the Sn cations is bridged by the malonate units, affording polymeric chains which run along [001]. Weak intra-molecular C-H?? inter-actions stabilize the mol-ecular structure. In the crystal structure, adjacent chains are inter-connected by inter-molecular O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. A weak inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action is also observed.

Crystal structure of catena-poly[[aquadi-n-propyl-tin(IV)]-?-oxalato].

Project description:The title compound, [Sn(C3H7)2(H2O)(C2O4)] n , represents the first diorganotin(IV) oxalate hydrate to be structurally characterized. The tin(IV) atom of the one-dimensional coordination polymer is located on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated by two chelating oxalate ligands with two slightly different Sn-O bond lengths of 2.290?(2) and 2.365?(2)?Å, two symmetry-related n-propyl groups with a Sn-C bond lengths of 2.127?(3)?Å, and a water mol-ecule with a Sn-O bond length of 2.262?(2)?Å. The coordination polyhedron around the Sn(IV) atom is a slightly distorted penta-gonal bipyramid with a nearly linear axis between the trans-oriented n-propyl groups [C-Sn-C = 176.8?(1)°]. The bond angles between the oxygen atoms of the equatorial plane range from 70.48?(6)° to 76.12?(8)°. A one-dimensional coordination polymer results from the less asymmetric bilateral coordination of the centrosymmetric oxalate anion, inter-nally reflected by two slightly different C-O bond lengths of 1.248?(3) and 1.254?(3)?Å. The chains of the polymer propagate parallel to [001] and are held together by hydrogen bonds between water mol-ecules and oxalate anions of neighboring chains, leading to a two-dimensional network parallel to (100).

Project description:In the title compound, [Sn(2)(C(4)H(9))(4)(C(6)H(6)PO(3))(4)](n), the basic unit is a dimer containing two symmetry-related Sn(IV) atoms bridged by two hydrogenphenylphosphonate anions. This fragment is located about an inversion center, and each Sn(IV) atom is linked to two other hydrogenphenylphosphonate anions, giving a layered structure parallel to (010). The coordination geometry for the Sn(IV) atoms is close to octa-hedral. The layers are connected via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network. One butyl group is disordered over two sets of sites, with occupancies of 0.49 (2) and 0.51 (2).

Project description:The binuclear title compound, [Hf(2)(C(5)HF(6)O(2))(6)(OH)(2)]·C(3)H(6)O, contains an Hf(IV) atom which is eight coordinated and surrounded by three chelating ?-diketonato 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexa-fluoro-acetyl-acetonate (hfaa) ligands and two bridging OH groups situated on a twofold rotation axis. The HfO(8) coordination polyhedron shows a slightly distorted Archimedean square anti-prismatic coordination with average Hf-O, C-O, C-C(Me) distances of 2.19?(2), 1.26?(2) and 1.49?(2)?Å, respectively, and an O-Hf-O bite angle of 75.3?(5)°. Weak O-H?O hydrogen bonding inter-actions are observed between one of the bridging hydr-oxy groups and the disordered solvent mol-ecule.

Three six-membered rings adopt the chair conformations while the fourth adopts a boat conformation, while the five-membered rings have the envelope conformations. The solvent mol-ecule links with the organic mol-ecule via a classical O-H?O hydrogen bond. Weak C-H?O hydrogen bonding is present in the structure. An intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond also occurs.

Project description:The title compound, [Dy(2)(C(3)H(2)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(6)](n), forms a coordination polymeric structure comprising hydrated dysprosium ions and malonate ligands. In the asymmetric unit, there are one dysprosium ion, one and a half malonate ligands, and three water mol-ecules. Each Dy(III) atom is coordinated by six O atoms from four malonate ligands and by three water mol-ecules, and displays a tricapped trigonal-prismatic coordination geometry. The malonate ligands adopt two types of coordination mode, linking dysprosium centres to form a three-dimensional coordination polymer. The extensive network of hydrogen bonds in this polymer enhances the structural stability.

Project description:In the title compound, [KLu(C(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4)](n), the Lu(III) ion lies on a site of [Formula: see text] symmetry in a dodeca-hedron defined by eight O atoms from four oxalate ligands. The K atom lies on another site of the same symmetry and is coordinated by four oxalate O atoms and four O water atoms. The mid-point of the C-C bond of the oxalate group lies on an inversion center. In the packing structure, each oxalate ligand links two Lu(III) and two K atoms, forming a three-dimensional open framework with channels running along [001].
