ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Pd(CH(3))Cl(C(25)H(22)NPS)]·0.5C(2)H(2)Cl(2), the Pd(II) atom is coordinated by the N,P-bidentate ligand, a methyl group and a chloride ion, generating a distorted square-planar PdCClNS coordination geometry, with the N and Cl atoms trans. The thio-phene ring is equally disordered over two orientations and the dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecule is disordered about an inversion centre.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pd(2)(C(9)H(12)NSe)(2)Cl(2)]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2), contains two half-mol-ecules, each lying on a twofold axis; each mol-ecule is chiral and of the same enanti-omer. This is only possible as the mol-ecule has a hinged cis arrangement about the Pd(2+) coordination spheres. For this hinged dimeric structure, the angles between the two coordination planes in each mol-ecule are 15.02?(5) and 14.91?(5)°. This hinged cis arragement also allows the two mol-ecules to form pairs linked by secondary inter-actions between the Pd and Se atoms [3.4307?(9) and 3.4317?(9)?Å] of adjoining mol-ecules, leading to an overall tetra-meric structure. During the refinement stages, it was noticed that there were dichloromethane solvent mol-ecules present disordered about a twofold axis. After unsuccessful attempts were made to model this, they were removed using SQUEEZE.

Project description:In the title compound, [RuCl(C18H15P)(C26H31N2OP)](CF3O3S)·2C3H6O, the Ru(II) ion is coordinated in a three-legged piano stool, half-sandwich-type geometry by a chlorido ligand, a tri-phenyl-phosphine and a tethered η(6)-(phenyl-p-O-meth-oxy) κ(1)-P N-di-phenyl-phosphino N'-diisopropyl amidine ligand charge-balanced by a trifluormethansulfonate counter-anion. The η(6)-coordination mode of the arene incorporated into the structure was generated in situ after addition of methyl tri-fluoro-methane-sulfonate to the neutral η(5)-arene tethered precursor complex [RuCl(PPh3)(η(5):κ(1)-OC6H4C(NiPr2)=N-PPh2)] in di-chloro-methane solution.

The methanol solvent mol-ecule is disordered about an inversion centre with an occupancy of 0.25 for each molecule. In the crystal, weak C-H?Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the complex mol-ecules generate chain frameworks parallel to [010].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [PtCl(4)(C(12)H(8)N(2))]·0.5CH(3)CN, contains two crystallographically independent Pt(IV) complexes with very similar geometry and one solvent mol-ecule. In the complexes, each Pt(IV) ion is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral environment by two N atoms of the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and four Cl atoms. Because of the different trans effects of the N and Cl atoms, the Pt-Cl bonds trans to the N atom are slightly shorter than those trans to the Cl atom. The compound displays numerous inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between six-membered rings, with a shortest centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.654?Å. There are also weak intra- and inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

The (1,3,5-tri-aza-penta-diene)Pt(II) metalla ring is slightly bent and does not conjugate with the aromatic ring. In the crystal, N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds link the complex mol-ecules, forming chains along [001]. The nitromethane solvent molecule shows half-occupancy and is disordered over two sets of sites about an inversion centre.

The six coordinate Sn(IV) atom adopts a distorted octa-hedral geometry. ?-? inter-actions between adjacent aromatic rings [interplanar distance 3.483?(5)?Å] seem to be effective in the stabilization of the crystal packing.
