The hydrazone mol-ecule of the title compound, C(15)H(13)N(3)O(4)·CH(4)O, is nearly planar, with a dihedral angle between the two benzene rings of 1.2 (4)°. The mol-ecule exists in a trans configuration with respect to the central methyl-idene unit. In the crystal, the benzohydrazide and methanol mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the a axis. ...[more]
