Ammonium O,O'-diethyl dithio-phosphate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, NH(4) (+)·(C(2)H(5)O)(2)PS(2) (-), the ammonium cation is connected by four charge-assisted N-H?S hydrogen bonds to four tetra-hedral O,O'-diethyl dithio-phosphate anions, forming layers parallel to (100). The polar and non-polar constituents of the layers are stacked alternately along [100]. Inter-lacing of the external ethyl groups through van der Waals inter-actions combines these layers into a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(36)O(6)S(4), was obtained by ethanethiol-ysis of 3,5,6-tri-O-acetyl-1,2-O-isopropyl-idene-α-d-gluco-furan--ose. One of the ethyl groups is disordered over two sites with refined occupancies of 0.869 (6) and 0.131 (6). Compared with the precursor, the absolute configuration of the stereocenters at positions C-3 and C-2 are inverted and maintained, respectively.

Redetermination of tetra-kis(N,N-diethyl-dithio-carbamato)tin(IV).

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Sn(C(5)H(10)NS(2))(4)], was originally determined by Harreld & Schlemper [Acta Cryst. (1971), B27, 1964-1969] using intensity data estimated from Weissenberg films. In comparison with the previous refinement, the current redetermination reveals anisotropic displacement parameters for all non-H atoms, localization of the H atoms, and higher precision of lattice parameters and inter-atomic distances. The complex features a distorted S(6) octa-hedral coordination geometry for tin and a cis disposition of the monodentate dithio-carbamate ligands.

Project description:The centrosymmetric title complex, [Ni{S(2)P(OC(2)H(5))(2)}(2)], has been redetermined using area-detector data. The central Ni(S(2)P)(2) core is essentially planar and confirms the early results of McConnell & Kastalsky [Acta Cryst. (1967), 22, 853-859] based on multiple film technique data. In the title structure, the standard uncertainty values are approximately seven times lower and all H-atom positions are calculated. A pair of short symmetry-related H?H contacts with distances of 2.33?Å is observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(4)H(12)N(+)·H(2)PO(4) (-)·0.5H(2)O, the anions form an infinite hydrogen-bonded chain along the [10] direction. The anion chains are connected by water mol-ecules, which lie on crystallographic twofold rotation axes, through O-H?O hydrogen bonds. These hydrogen bonds are almost perpendicular to the other hydrogen bonds which create an assembled structure of anions. In addition, C-H?O hydrogen bonds between anions and cations are observed.

Project description:The title compound, [Sb(C(5)H(10)NS(2))(3)], was synthesized from Sb(2)O(3), diethyl-amine, carbon dis-ulfide, hydro-chloric acid and sodium hydroxide. The structure has been published previously but H atoms were not included in the model [Raston & White (1976 ?). Chem. Soc. Dalton Trans. p. 791]. The current determination has significantly higher precision than the original work. The complex has three ligands. The Sb atom is coordinated by three bidentate diethyl-dithio-carbamate groups, two in an almost planar fashion and the third perpendicular to that plane with a dihedral angle of 86.429?(13)°. One ethyl group is disordered over two positions of equal occupancy.

Project description:We used the previously designed oligonucleotide microarrays (Bürgmann et al., 2007, Environmental Microbiology, 9: 2742-2755) to detect the mRNA transcripts of R. pomeroyi DSS-3 when the cells were cultured under steady-state conditions limited with ammonium (NH4Cl, 0.26 mM) but with an excess of D-ribose-5-phosphate (C5H9Na2O8P*2H2O, 0.5 mM), methylphosphonic acid (CH5PO3, 0.5 mM), or potassium phosphate (KH2PO4, 0.5 mM), or during ammonium excess (NH4Cl, 2.8 mM) but were limited with potassium phosphate (KH2PO4, 9.2 μM).
