ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [CoCl(2)(C(10)H(9)N(3)S)(2)], contains one half-mol-ecule with the Co(II) atom situtated on a twofold rotational axis. The Co(II) atom, in an octa-hedral enviroment, is coordinated by four N atoms from two 2-methyl-sulfanyl-4-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrimidine ligands and two Cl atoms.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [CoCl(2)(C(9)H(16)N(2)Si)(2)], the Co(II) atom is located on an inversion center in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral environment formed by two chloride ions and the pyridine N atoms of two chelating 6-methyl-2-[(trimethyl-silyl)amino]pyridine ligands. The dihedral angle between the planes of the pyridine rings is 80.06?(5)°. Cohesion within the crystal structure is accomplished by N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The green title complex, [Co(2)(CH(3))(2)(C(12)H(21)N(2)Si)(2)], was obtained from bis-{[?-N-tert-butyl-dimethyl-silyl-N-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)amido]-chloridocobalt(II)} and methyl-lithium in diethyl ether at 195?K via a metathesis reaction. The dimeric cobalt(II) complex exhibits a crystallographic center of inversion in the middle of the Co(2)N(2) ring (average Co-N = 2.050?Å). The Co(II) atom shows a distorted tetra-hedral coordination sphere. The exocyclic Co-N bond length to the pyridyl group shows a similar value of 2.045?(4)?Å. The exocyclic methyl group has a rather long Co-C bond length of 2.019?(5)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, C6H6N6S, crystallized with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. The conformation of the two mol-ecules differs slightly. While the tetra-zole ring is inclined to the pyrim-idene ring by 5.48 (7) and 4.24 (7)° in mol-ecules A and B, respectively, the N-C-S-C torsion angles of the thio-methyl groups differ by ca 180°. In the crystal, the A and B mol-ecules are linked via a C-H⋯N hydrogen bond. They stack along the b-axis direction forming columns within which there are weak π-π inter-actions present [shortest inter-centroid distance = 3.6933 (13) Å].

The Pd-N and Pd-Cl distances are 2.023?(2) and 2.2977?(7)?Å, respectively, and the average N-Pd-Cl angle is 90°. The dimethyl sulfoxide solvent mol-ecules play a key role in the crystal structure by bridging the complex mol-ecules via O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming tapes running along the b axis. C-H?O inter-actions also contribute to the cohesion of the crystal.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(14)H(8)Cl(2)N(4)S, all the ring atoms in the pyrazolopyrimidine system are almost coplanar, the largest deviation from the mean plane being 0.027?(2)?Å for a C atom. The conformation of the methyl-sulfanyl group is anti-periplanar, with a torsion angle of -176.7?(2)°. A weak inter-molecular C-H?N hydrogen bond and a Cl?N halogen bond [Cl?N = 3.196?(5)?Å] with a nearly linear N?Cl-C angle [174.2?(1)°] link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional assembly. Face-to-face ?-? stacking, with a centroid-centroid separation of 3.557?(2)?Å and an angle of 7.1?(1)° between the two planes, completes the inter-molecular inter-actions in the solid state.
