[N,N-Bis(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propanamine-κP,P']dichloridonickel(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [NiCl(2)(C(27)H(27)NP(2))], the Ni(2+) ion is coordinated by two chloride ions and two P atoms of the bidentate N,N-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propyl ligand to generate a strongly distorted cis-NiCl(2)P(2) square-planar geometry for the metal ion. A NiP(2)N rhombus occurs within the chelating ligand.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, trans-[Cu(C2H)Cl(C26H24P2)2], consists of an Ru(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, in an octa-hedral environment defined by two chelating phosphines, one acetyl-ide and one chloride ligand. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. The four P atoms occupy the equatorial plane of the octa-hedron and the chloride and acetyl-ide ligands the axial positions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pd(C(5)H(4)NS)(C(18)H(14)PS)(C(18)H(15)P)], the Pd(II) atom has a slightly distorted square-planar environment. Two coordination sites are occupied by a P,S-chelating 2-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)benzene-thiol-ate ligand and the other two by a P atom from a triphenyl-phosphine ligand and an S atom from a pyridine-2-thiol-ate ligand, exhibiting a trans arrangement of the two P-donor atoms. In the crystal structure, weak intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions are observed. The pyridyl ring is equally disordered over two positions.

The Au(I) atom is in an almost linear coordination with a P-Au-Cl angle of 179.22 (4)°. The complex molecules reside on a twofold rotation axis.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ni(C(30)H(23)O(2)P(2))I], the divalent Ni atom is coordinated by two P atoms and one C atom from the 1,3-bis-[(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)-oxy]benzene ligand; the distorted square-planar geometry is completed by an iodide ligand. The largest distortions from ideal square-planar geometry are reflected in the P-Ni-P angle of 164.20?(2)° and the P-Ni-C angles of 82.09?(6) and 82.11?(6)°. The rather short Ni-C bond length [1.890?(2)?Å] is anti-cipated in light of the much stronger trans influence of the aryl moiety compared to the iodide ligand. The P-bound phenyl rings adopt different orientations to minimize steric repulsion among themselves.

Project description:Facile ligand substitution is observed when the ruthenium chloride complex [Ru(?(5)-C(9)H(7))Cl(dppe)] (dppe is diphenylphosphanyl ethane) is treated with NaN(3) in refluxing ethanol, yielding the title compound, [Ru(?(5)-C(9)H(7))(N(3))(dppe)] or [Ru(C(9)H(7))(N(3))(C(26)H(24)P(2))]. The Ru(II) atom has a typical piano-stool coordination. The Ru-P bond lengths are 2.284?(2) and 2.235?(2)?Å. NMR and MS analyses are in agreement with the structure of the title compound.

The distorted tetra-hedral coordination about each metal atom is completed by the P atoms of two bridging 1,3-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propane ligands, forming polymeric ribbons parallel to the a axis.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pt(NO(3))(2)(C(42)H(42)O(2)P(4))(2)]·4CH(3)OH, the Pt atom positioned on a crystallographic centre of inversion. The two symmetry-equivalent nitrate anions are weakly coordinated to the Pt(II) ion, creating, together with four P ligand atoms, a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. In addition, several close C-H?O contacts between the nitrate O atoms and phenyl H atoms are found. Hydrogen bonds from two methanol solvent mol-ecules to one of the O-P groups complete the crystal structure.
