Trans-Dichloridobis(2,4-dimethyl-aniline-?N)palladium(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [PdCl(2)(C(8)H(11)N)(2)], the Pd(II) atom is located on a crystallographic inversion center and adopts a square-planar coordination geometry, with pairs of equivalent ligands in trans positions. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked with each other through weak N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions between the phenyl rings [shortest centroid-centroid distance = 3.720?(2)?Å], leading to the formation of layers parallel to the a-axis direction.

In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked with each other through weak N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking inter-actions between the phenyl rings [shortest centroid-centroid distance = 3.720 (2) Å], leading to the formation of layers parallel to the a-axis direction. ...[more]
