Project description:The title complex, [Cd2Cl4(C13H17N3)2]·H2O, is centrosymmetic and contains two Cd(2+) ions bridged by two Cl(-) ions, leading to a strictly planar Cd2Cl2 core. Each Cd(2+) ion is further coordinated by an additional Cl(-) ion and three N atoms of a tridentate 8-[2-(di-methyl-amino)-ethyl-amino]-quinoline ligand in the form of a considerably distorted octa-hedron for the overall coordination sphere. A lattice water mol-ecule is located on a twofold rotation axis and links pairs of complexes through N-H?O and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(6)H(9)N(2) (+)·SO(4) (2-)·H(2)O, contains two isomeric protonated amino-methyl-pyridine cations, a sulfate anion and a solvent water mol-ecule. The cations are in the iminium tautomeric form. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H?O, N-H?O and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the components into a three-dimensional network. Additional stabilization is provided by weak ?-? stacking inter-actions, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.758?(2) and 3.774?(1)?Å.

Methyl-(phenyl)-bis-(quinoline-2-carbox-ylato-κN,O)tin(IV) monohydrate.

Project description:The Sn(IV) atom in each of the two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Sn(CH(3))(C(6)H(5))(C(10)H(6)NO(2))(2)]·H(2)O, is N,O-chelated by two quinoline-2-carboxyl-ate ions; the dative Sn-N bonds are significantly longer than the covalent Sn-O bonds. The two O and two N atoms comprise a trapezoid, and the diorganotin skeleton is bent over the longer N-N edge [C-Sn-C = 144.2 (1) and 144.5 (1)° in the two independent mol-ecules]. The uncoordinated water mol-ecules serve to connect the skew-trapezoidal bipyramidal tin-bearing mol-ecules, generating a linear chain motif running along the ac diagonal. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin having a minor component of 33.2 (1)%.

Project description:In the title compound, C(19)H(13)F(3)N(2)O·H(2)O, the phenyl and pyrroloquinoline ring system are close to coplanar [dihedral angle = 10.94?(4)°]. The meth-oxy group also is almost coplanar with the phenyl ring [5.4?(1)°]. In the crystal structure N-H?O(water) and water-quinoline O-H?N hydrogen bonds build up a supra-molecular chain-like arrangement along [001]. The remaining H atom of the water mol-ecule does not take part in classical hydrogen bonds. Instead, this O-H bond points toward the center of the phenyl ring of a neighbouring mol-ecule. Weak C-H?O and C-H?? inter-actions are also present.

Project description:In the title complex, [ZnCl2(C13H17N3)], the coordination sphere of the zinc cation is distorted square pyramidal. The three N atoms of the N,N',N''-tridentate 8-[2-(di-methyl-amino)-ethyl-amino]-quinoline ligand and one chloride ion constitute a considerably distorted square base. The apical site is occupied by another chloride ion. The distortion from the ideal square-pyramidal geometry is manifested by the N-Zn-N angle of 133.25?(11)°. Like most square-pyramidal metal complexes, the zinc cation is displaced towards the apical chloride ion. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H?Cl inter-actions. This leads to the formation of chains of mol-ecules parallel to the b-axis direction.

Project description:In the title Zn(II) complex, [Zn(C(8)H(8)NO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, the Zn atom is coordinated by two 4-methyl-amino-benzoate (MAB) and two isonicotinamide (INA) ligands in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry; one of the MAB ions acts as a bidentate ligand while the other MAB and the two INA are monodentate ligands. The dihedral angles between the carboxyl groups and the adjacent benzene rings are 8.52 (22) and 5.10 (14)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding links the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular structure. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The title solvated bimetallic complex, [Cd2Cl4(C13H17N3)2]·C2H5OH, comprises two Cd2+ metal ions linked by a pair of μ2 Cl- ions. The coordination sphere around each Cd2+ ion is completed by three N atoms of a tridentate 8-[2-(di-methyl-amino)-ethyl-amino]quinoline ligand and another chloride ion to form a distorted fac-CdN3Cl3 octa-hedron. The ethanol mol-ecule is both an acceptor of an N-H⋯O and a donor of an O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds to its adjacent complex unit. In the crystal, weak aromatic π-π stacking is observed.

In the crystal, ?-conjugated planes of cations and anions are inclined to each other at 84.30?(11)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?O inter-actions, which link the cations, anions and water mol-ecules into chains along the b axis. These chains are stacked along the a axis by ?-? inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.6032?(16) and 3.6462?(16)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C(20)H(21)N(2) (+)·C(7)H(7)O(3)S(-)·H(2)O, the cation is essentially planar, as indicated by the dihedral angle of 2.79 (13)° between the quinolinium and the dimethylaminophenyl rings, and exists in the E configuration. The π-conjugated planes of the cation and the anion are inclined to each other at a dihedral angle of 66.95 (12)°. The cation is linked to the anion through C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and the anion is further linked with the water mol-ecule by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-mol-ecule unit. These units are arranged in a face-to-face manner into a ribbon-like structure along the b axis. The ribbons are stacked along the c axis. The crystal structure is further stabilized by C-H⋯π inter-actions involving the dimethyl-amino-phenyl and methyl-phenyl rings. A π-π inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.6074 (19) Å is also observed.
