ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [HgBr(2)(C(15)H(17)N(5))], the Hg(II) ion is tetra-hedrally coordinated by two N atoms of the N-[1-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)ethyl-idene-?N]-3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)propan-1-amine ligand, and two bromide anions. Inter-molecular benzimidazole-imidazole N-H?N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into helical chains along the b-axis direction and C-H?Br hydrogen bonds link these chains into layers parallel to the bc plane.

The dihedral angle formed between the 1H-pyrazol-5-ol and 2,5-dimethyl-furan rings is 21.07?(5)°. In the crystal, pairs of inter-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds form inversion dimers of the 3-(2,5-dimethyl-furan-3-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5-ol species, generating R(2) (2)(8) ring motifs. Project description:In the title compound, C9H13N3O4, an ester of the anti-infection drug secnidazole, the dihedral angle between the nitro-imidazole mean plane (r.m.s. deviation = 0.028 Å) and the pendant acetate group is 43.17 (11)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of C-H⋯O inter-actions generate R 2 (2)(10) loops and further C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the dimers into [100] chains. Weak aromatic π-π stacking inter-actions with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.7623 (11) Å are also observed.

Project description:In the polymeric title complex, [CdCl(2)(C(12)H(13)N(5))](n), the Cd(II) atom is five-coordinated by two N atoms from two bridging 1-[(2-ethyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)meth-yl]-1H-benzotriazole (bmei) ligands, two bridging Cl atoms and one terminal Cl atom in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The Cd(II) atoms are connected alternately by the Cl atoms and bmei ligands, leading to a zigzag chain extending parallel to [011]. π-π inter-actions, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.3016 (3) Å, help to stabilize the crystal packing.
