Trans-Dibromidobis(1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazol-2-yl-idene)palladium(II).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, trans-[PdBr(2)(C(6)H(10)N(2))(2)], was synthesized ionothermally in the ionic liquid solvent 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bromide. In the crystal, the Pd(II) atoms are square-planarly coordinated to two Br atoms and two neutral (C(6)H(10)N(2)) ligands. The Pd(II) atom is located on an inversion centre.
