Catena-Poly[[tetra-kis-(1H-pyrazole-?N(2))copper(II)]-?-hexa-fluoridosilicato-?(2)F:F'].

ABSTRACT: In the title one-dimensional coordination polymer, [Cu(SiF(6))(C(3)H(4)N(2))(4)](n), the Cu(II) atom is coordinated by two hexafluoridosilicate F atoms and four pyrazole N atoms in a distorted trans-CuF(2)N(4) octa-hedral environment. The dihedral angle between the planes of the pyrazlole rings in the asymmetric unit is 74.4?(3)°. The hexa-fluoridosilicate dianion acts as a bridging ligand, connecting the Cu(II) atoms into a [1-10] chain. The Cu and Si atoms lie on special positions with 2/m site symmetry. In the crystal, intra-chain N-H?F hydrogen bonds occur and weak C-H?F inter-actions link the chains.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(ClO(4))(2)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(4)], was obtained unexpectedly by the reaction of copper(II) perchlorate hexa-hydrate with equimolar amounts of 1-chloro-1-nitro-2,2,2-tripyrazolylethane in methanol solution. The crystal structure comprises octa-hedrally coordinated Cu(2+) ions, located on an inversion centre, with four pyrazole ligands in the equatorial plane. The average Cu-N distance is 2.000?(1)?Å. Project description:In the hydro-thermally prepared title compound, [Mo(8)Zn(2)O(26)(C(8)H(7)N(3))(4)](n) or {[Zn(C(8)H(7)N(3))(2)](2)(Mo(8)O(26))}(n), the Zn(II) atom is coordinated by two N,N'-bidentate 3-(2-pyrid-yl)pyrazole ligands and two O atoms from adjacent octa-molybdate polyanions, generating a distorted cis-ZnO(2)N(4) octa-hedral geometry for the divalent metal ion. The complete octa-molbydate unit is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The polyhedral connectivity leads to [100] chains in the crystal and N-H⋯O and N-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bonds help to consolidate the packing.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(4)(C(7)H(6)N(2)O(3))(4)(H(2)O)(4)]·14H(2)O, a tetra-nuclear [2 × 2] grid-type complex with S4 symmetry, contains four Cu(II) atoms which are bridged by four pyrazole-carboxyl-ate ligand anions and are additionally bonded to a water molecule. Each Cu(II) atom is coordinated by two O atoms of the carboxyl-ate and acetyl groups, two pyrazole N atoms of doubly deprotonated 3-acetyl-4-methyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carb-oxy-lic acid and one O atom of a water mol-ecule. The geometry at each Cu(II) atom is distorted square-pyramidal, with the two N and two O atoms in the equatorial plane and O atoms in the axial positions. O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions additionally stabilize the structure. One of the uncoordinated water molecules shows half-occupancy.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [CoGd(6)(C(5)H(2)N(2)O(4))(4)(SO(4))(6)(H(2)O)(14)](n), contains a Co(II) ion (site symmetry [Formula: see text]), three Gd(III) ions, two imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, three SO(4) (2-) anions, and seven coordinated water mol-ecules. The Co(II) ion is six-coordinated by two O atoms from water mol-ecules, two O atoms and two N atoms from two imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, giving a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Gd(III) ions exhibit three types of coordination environments. One Gd ion is eight-coordinated in a bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry by four O atoms from two imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, two O atoms from two SO(4) (2-) anions and two coordinated water mol-ecules. Project description:The structure of the title compound, {[Cu(SO(4))(C(6)H(7)N)(4)]·4.393H(2)O}(n), consists of Cu(2+) ions surrounded in a square-planar fashion by 4-methyl-pyridine ligands, forming two crystallographically independent Cu{H(3)C(C(5)H(4)N)}(4) units that are both located on crystallographic inversion centers. The Cu(4-methyl-pyridine)(4) units are, in turn, connected with each other via bridging sulfate anions, leading to the formation of infinite [Cu{H(3)C(C(5)H(4)N)}(4)SO(4)](n) zigzag chains along [001]. The completed coordination spheres of the Cu(2+) ions are slightly distorted octa-hedral. The axial Cu-O bonds are elongated [average length = 2.42 (4) Å] compared to the equatorial Cu-N bonds [average length = 2.043 (2) Å]. The inter-stitial space between the chains is filled with uncoordinated water mol-ecules that consolidate the structure through O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding. One of the five crystallographically independent solvent water mol-ecules is partially occupied with an occupancy factor of 0.396 (4). Due to hydrogen bonding between symmetry-equivalent water mol-ecules across inversion centers, several of the water H atoms are disordered in 1:1 ratios over mutually exclusive positions. The crystal under investigation was found to be non-merohedrally twinned in a 0.789 (1):0.211 (1) ratio by a 180° rotation around the reciprocal b axis.

Project description:The title tetra-nuclear complex, [Cu(4)Cl(6)O(C(13)H(11)N(3))(4)], features a tetra-hedral arrangement of copper(II) ions bonded to the central O atom (site symmetry [Formula: see text]). Each of the six edges of the Cu(4) tetra-hedron is bridged by a chloride ion (one of which has site symmetry 2), so that each copper ion is linked to the other three metal ions through the central O atom and through three separate chloride-ion bridges. The fifth coord-ination position, located on the central Cu-O axis on the outside of the cluster, is occupied by an N atom of the mono-dentate 1-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)-1H-benzimidazole ligand. The resulting coordination geometry of the metal ion is a distorted trigonal bipyramid with the O and N atoms in the axial positions. The dihedral angle between the benzimidazole ring system and the pendant pyridine ring is 61.0?(2)°.

Project description:In the title salt, [Cu(NO(3))(C(7)H(6)N(2))(4)]NO(3), one nitrate anion is coordinated to the Cu(II) atom, which is also coordinated by the N atoms of four N-heterocycles. The geometry at the metal atom is a square pyramid in which the O atom of the anion occupies the apical position [Cu-O = 2.468?(5) and 2.590?(7)?Å in the two independent formula units]. The cation lies on a twofold rotation axis; the coordinated nitrate anion is also disordered about this symmetry element. The lattice anion is also disordered about a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, the cations are linked to the coordinated and free anions by N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The cyclo-tetra-phosphate anion, [P(4)O(12)](4-), forms the title complex with cobalt(II) and quinolinium, {(C(9)H(8)N)(2)[Co(P(4)O(12))(H(2)O)(2)]·6H(2)O}(n). In the complex anion, the Co(II) ion, lying on an inversion center, is surrounded by four phosphate O atoms and two water mol-ecules in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The crystal structure consists of anionic ribbons of formula {[Co(P(4)O(12))(H(2)O)(2)](2-)}(n) extending along [100]. A network of O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds consolidates the crystal packing.
