ABSTRACT: The phosphine-coordinated Ag(I) atom in the title compound, [Ag(C(21)H(17)BN(6))(C(18)H(15)P)], is also N,N',N''-chelated by the tris-(indazol-yl)borate anion. The resultant N(3)P coordination geometry is tetra-hedral.

Project description:Reaction of [Ru(Tp)Cl(PPh(3))(2)] (Tp = hydridotrispyrazolyl-borate) with ammonium dithio-benzoate in methanol leads to the formation of the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(C(7)H(5)S(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]. In the crystal structure, the Ru atom is coordinated by three N atoms of the Tp ligand, one P atom of the triphenyl-phosphine ligand and the two S atoms of the dithio-benzoate ligand within a slightly distorted octa-hedron. The Ru-S bonds are slightly different [2.321 (1) and 2.396 (1) Å] and the average N-Ru-N angle is 86.31°.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Ru(C(4)H(6)BN(6))H(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(CO)]·C(2)H(3)N, discrete mononuclear complexes are found in which the Ru atom is coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphine (PPh(3)) ligands, one dihydro-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)borate ligand, one carbonyl ligand and one hydride atom within slightly distorted octa-hedra. The two P atoms of the PPh(3) ligands are trans positioned and the two N atoms of the chelating dihydro-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)borate ligand occupy cis positions.

Project description:The reaction of [RuCl(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)] with benzo-phenone imine in methanol, in the presence of sodium azide, leads to the formation of the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(N(3))(HN=CPh(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]·C(4)H(10)O, which crystallizes as the diethyl ether solvate. In the crystal structure, the Ru atom is coordinated by three N atoms of one hydridotris(pyrazoly)borate anion, one P atom of one triphenyl-phosphine ligand, one N atom of the azide anion and one N atom of the benzophenone-imine ligand in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The azide anion is almost linear [177.0 (5)°], with an Ru-N-N angle of 125.9 (3)°. There is a small difference between the N-N distances [1.200 (5) and 1.164 (5) Å], the longer bond being adjacent to the Ru atom.

Project description:The structure of the title complex, [Ag(C(12)H(8)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]CF(3)SO(3), is based on a distorted trigonal-planar N(2)P coordination of the Ag(I) ion, provided by two N atoms of the bidentate phenanthroline ligand and one P atom of the triphenyl-phosphine ligand. The phenanthroline ligand and one phenyl ring of the triphenyl-phosphine ligand almost lie in one plane (maximum deviation = 0.014 Å from the best planes). The crystal structure may be stabilized by an inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the phenanthroline ligand and the O atom of the trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anion.

Project description:In the title mononuclear Cu(I) complex, [Cu(C(18)H(15)P)(C(41)H(39)P(3))]BF(4), the cation has a basic rigid core structure reminiscent of the framework of diamond. The metal atom is coordinated by four P atoms in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry, the distortion arising from the steric hindrance of the phenyl groups. The anion is disordered over two positions, with an occupancy ratio of 0.524 (17):0.476 (17). The cations and anions are closely packed in the crystal and are in h.c.p. arrangements.

Project description:The title compound, [Ag(2)I(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(C(18)H(27)P)(2)], contains centrosymmetric dinuclear species in which each Ag atom is surrounded by a phosphine ligand, a weakly coordinating pyridine ligand and two iodide anions in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination. The two iodide anions bridge the Ag atoms, which are separated by a distance of 3.1008 (6) Å. The Ag-P distance is 2.4436 (8) Å, Ag-N is 2.386 (3)Å and the Ag-I distances are 2.8186 (4) and 2.9449 (5) Å.

Project description:In the title 1:1 silver(I) 4-carb-oxy-pyridine-3-carboxyl-ate adduct with triphenyl-phosphine, [Ag(C(7)H(4)NO(4))(C(18)H(15)P)](n), the carboxyl-ate anion bridges the phosphine-coordinated Ag atoms through its N and O atoms, generating a coordination polymer forming layers in the bc plane. The Ag atom exists in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The H atom of the carboxyl-ate is midway between two O atoms of the two carboxyl groups, thus forming a strong intra-molecular hydrogen bond.

Project description:Facile ligand substitution is observed when the ruthenium-azide complex, [RuN(3)(Tp)(PPh(3))(2)] [Tp,HB(pz)(3), pz = pyrazol-yl, PPh(3) = triphenyl-phosphine] is treated with benzo-nitrile, yielding the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(N(3))(C(7)H(5)N)(C(18)H(15)P)]. The asymmetric unit contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules. In each one, the Ru(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by five N atoms from an htpb ligand, an azide ligand and a benzonitrile ligand and one P atom from a triphenyl-phosphine (tpp) ligand. The azide group is almost linear and is coordinated to Ru with an average Ru-N-N angle of 124.9?(3)°.
