ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Ag(C(7)H(2)Br(3)O(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(3)], a silver(I) derivative of 3,5,7-tribromo-tropolone, has three triphenyl-phosphine ligands coordinated to the silver centre, whereas the 3,5,7-tribromo-tropolonate anion coordinates as a bidentate ligand. The compound is an example of a five-coordinate silver complex containing a bidentate ligand.

Project description:The title complex, [Re(C(7)H(2)Br(3)O(2))(CO)(3)(H(2)O)]·CH(3)OH, crystallized as a neutral Re(I) compound and one methanol solvent mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The metal centre is coordinated facially by three carbonyl groups. The bidentate tribromo-tropolanate ligand and a water mol-ecule complete the distorted octahedral coordination around the central metal. Inter-molecular Br?O [3.226?(5)?Å] and Br?Br [3.590?(2)?Å] contacts are observed between adjacent mol-ecules. These contacts, together with an array of O-H?O, O-H?Br and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, complete a three-dimensional polymeric network formed between the methanol solvent and the complex.

It is an example of a new type of tropolone derivative that has not been characterized via solid-state methods.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(7)H(5)O(2))(C(18)H(12)F(3)P)(2)], a copper(I) tris-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)phosphine tropolonate derivative, is the first tropolonate complex with fluorinated aryl-phosphine ligands. As a result, the nitrate-containing mol-ecule contains disorder of its bidentate nitrate and two N-bound thio-cyanate anions, while the [Eu(NCS)3(OPPh3)3] complex is fully ordered. There is a weak ?-? stacking inter-action between the phenyl rings of the two mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 4.138?(4)?Å].

The coordination sphere of silver is formed by two P atoms of two triphenyl-phosphine ligands, one O atom of a perchlorate anion and one O atom of a methanol mol-ecule. The crystal structure is stablized by a bifurcated inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond, involving the O-H donor from methanol and two acceptor O atoms from the perchlorate anion, so forming a zigzag chain propagating in [010].

Project description:The structure of the title complex, [Ag(C(12)H(8)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]CF(3)SO(3), is based on a distorted trigonal-planar N(2)P coordination of the Ag(I) ion, provided by two N atoms of the bidentate phenanthroline ligand and one P atom of the triphenyl-phosphine ligand. The phenanthroline ligand and one phenyl ring of the triphenyl-phosphine ligand almost lie in one plane (maximum deviation = 0.014 Å from the best planes). The crystal structure may be stabilized by an inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the phenanthroline ligand and the O atom of the trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anion.
