[1,2-Bis(dimethyl-phosphino)ethane]carbon-yl(?-cyclo-penta-dien-yl)iron(II) diphenyl-phosphinoylborate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(6)H(16)P(2))(CO)](C(12)H(13)BOP), the Fe(II) ion adopts a three-legged piano-stool geometry, with Fe?Cg = 1.721?(5)Å (Cg = the centroid defined by the C atoms of the cyclo-penta-dienyl ring). The 1,2-bis-(dimethyl-phosphino)ethane (dmpe) ligand chelates to form a five-membered C(2)P(2)Fe ring which is in a pseudo-half-chair conformation. In the crystal structure, associations of one cation and two anions are formed via weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds, giving rise to R(4) (2)(9) rings.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, [ZrBr(2)(C(12)H(14)Si)], possesses a crystallographically imposed twofold rotational symmetry with the rotation axis passing through the Zr and Si atoms. The Zr(IV) centre is in a distorted tetra-hedral environment defined by two Cp rings of chelating organic ligands and two Br anions. Two five-membered rings form a dihedral angle of 59.7 (2)°. Unequal Zr-C bonds [2.471 (3)-2.556 (3) Å] in the mol-ecule indicate that the inter-action of the central metal with the [(C(5)H(4))(2)SiMe(2)](2-) ligand contains noticeable η(3)-allyl and η(2)-olefin contributions.

Project description:The title compound, [Ru(C(10)H(15))Cl(C(12)H(10)ClP)(C(17)H(20)NP)], is a half-sandwich complex of Ru(II) with the chloro-diphenyl-phosphine ligand formed from the diphenyl-piperidinophosphine and chlorine of the precursor complex [Ru(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(κ(1)P-Ph(2)PNC(5)H(10))Cl(2)] by an unexpected reaction with NaBH(4). The complex has a three-legged piano-stool geometry, with Ru-P bond lengths of 2.2598 (5) Å for the chloro-phosphine and 2.3303 (5) Å for the amino-phosphine.

Project description:The title compound, [Mo(C(5)H(5))(C(2)H(3)O)(C(13)H(13)P)(CO)(2)], was prepared by reaction of [Mo(CH(3))(C(5)H(5))(CO)(3)] with methyl-diphenyl-phosphane. The Mo(II) atom exhibits a four-legged piano-stool coordination geometry with the acetyl and phosphane ligands trans to each other. There are several inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving carbonyl and acetyl O atoms as acceptors. A close nearly parallel π-π inter-action between the cyclo-penta-dienyl plane and the phenyl ring of the phosphane ligand is present, with an angle of 6.4 (1)° between the two least-squares planes. The centroid-to-centroid distance between these groups is 3.772 (3) Å, and the closest distance between two atoms of these groups is 3.449 (4) Å. Since each Mo complex is engaged in two of these inter-actions, the complexes form an infinite π-stack coincident with the a axis.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, deca-methyl-cobaltocene, [Co(C(10)H(15))(2)], has been determined. High-quality single crystals were grown from a cold saturated hexa-methyl-disiloxane solution. The structure is related to the manganese and iron analogs. The molecule has D(5d) symmetry, with the Co atom in a crystallographic 2/m position. The cobalt-centroid(C(5)) distance is 1.71Å and the centroid(C(5))-Co-centroid(C(5)) angle is 180°, by symmetry.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ru(C(7)H(8))(C(10)H(15))]PF(6), the cation lies on a mirror plane and the anion lies on an inversion center. The distance between the Ru atom and the centroid of the benzene ring is 1.706 (5) Å and the distance between the Ru atom and the cyclo-penta-dienyl ring is 1.811 (5) Å. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds. The H atoms of the methyl groups which lie on the mirror plane are disordered over two sites with equal occupancies.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ru(C(10)H(15))(C(7)H(9)NO(2)S)]C(24)H(20)B, has been determined as part of our investigation into the structural and biological properties of organometallic Ru(II)-arene-Cp* complex salts of the type [R-PhRuCp*](+)·X(-) (where Cp* is penta-methyl-cyclo-penta-diene). Tethering the RuCp* group to the benzene ring of p-toluene-sulfonamide results in only minor changes to the mol-ecular geometry of the sulfonamide, but, together with crystallization as the [BPh(4)](-) salt, effectively blocks involvement of the sulfonamide group in N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding networks.

Project description:The title compound, [Al(C10H15)2][AlBr4], was formed during the reduction of a mixture of Cp*AlBr2 and AlBr3. The Al(III) atoms of the two crystallographically independent cations each lie on an inversion center, and the [AlBr4](-) anions are on general positions. At 123 K, the structure exhibits disorder in two of the Br atoms of the [AlBr4](-) ion, with a ratio occupancy of 0.733 (6): 0.267 (3). In the crystal, there is possible weak hydrogen bonding between some methyl groups and Br atoms. The interactions link the moieties in a three-dimensional array.
