Project description:In the title compound, [Pd(2)Cl(4)(C(8)H(6)N(4))]·C(3)H(7)NO, the two Pd(2+) cations have a distorted square-planar coordination sphere and are bridged by a bis-bidentate 2,2'-bipyrimidine ligand. Two terminal chloride anions are also bonded to each of the Pd(2+) cations. The dinuclear complex and the dimethylformamide solvate molecule lie on the inter-section of a twofold rotation axis and a mirror plane, with disorder present in the solvate mol-ecule. There is a slight distortion from the square-planar metal geometry, as indicated by the bite angles of 81.77?(13)° and 91.63?(5)°. The C and O atoms of the solvent mol-ecule are disordered over two sets of sites of equal occupancy.

Project description:In the title compound, trans-[PdCl(2){P(4-MeOC(6)H(4))(3)}(2)]·C(7)H(8), the Pd(II) atom lies on a center of symmetry, resulting in a distorted trans-square planar geometry. The Pd-P and Pd-Cl bond lengths are 2.3409?(4) and 2.2981?(4)?Å, respectively. An intra-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, weak C-H?O inter-actions are observed between the aromatic rings of adjacent mol-ecules. The toluene solvate molecule is equally disordered over two sets of sites.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(C(18)H(14)PS)(2)], was synthesized by the reaction of (Ph(2)PC(6)H(4)SH) with [PdCl(2)(NCC(6)H(5))(2)] in a 2:1 molar ratio in the presence of a slight excess of NEt(3 )as base in dichloro-methane. The compound crystallizes with the Pd(II) atom on a twofold rotation axis. The palladium center has a slightly distorted square-planar environment, with the two P-S chelating ligands adopting a cis configuration. The present structure is a pseudo-polymorph of [Pd(C(18)H(14)PS)(2)]·CH(2)Cl(2).

Project description:In the title complex, [PdCl(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))], the Pd(2+) ion is four-coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar environment by two N atoms of the chelating 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and two chloride ions. The nearly planar mol-ecules, with a maximum deviation of 0.120?(3)?Å from the least-squares plane, are stacked in columns along the c axis with a Pd?Pd distance of 4.8340?(9)?Å. In the column, ?-? inter-actions between adjacent six-membered rings are present, the shortest centroid-centroid distance being 3.680?(4)?Å. A weak C-H?Cl inter-action is observed between the columns.

Project description:In the title salt, [Pd(C(10)H(8)N(2))(C(6)H(6)NO)(2)](PF(6))(2), the Pd(II) atom is in a slightly distorted square-planar coordination environment by N atoms derived from two 4-pyridine-carboxamide ligands, in a cis disposition, and a chelating 2,2'-bipyridine mol-ecule. The monodentate ligands are nearly orthogonal to each other [dihedral angle = 85.7?(5)°] and to the PdN(4) plane [dihedral angles = 79.3?(3) and 78.7?(3)°]. The amide O atoms lie to opposite sides of the PdN(4) plane. The most notable feature of the crystal packing is a linear supra-molecular chain orientated approximately along [310] and formed via 16-membered {?HNCO}(4) motifs. These are connected into a three-dimensional network by amide-H?O, F inter-actions. Both PF(6) (-) anions are disordered over two positions of equal occupancy in respect of the F atoms.

Project description:In the title compound, [PdCl(2)(C(7)H(13)N(3))]·CH(2)Cl(2), the 2-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethanamine ligand chelates the Pd(II) atom via two N atoms forming a six-membered ring resulting in a distorted square-planar metal coordination environment, highlighted by N-Pd-Cl angles of 172.63?(8) and 174.98?(9)°. In addition to N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds creating infinite chains along [001], several C-H?Cl inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(C(6)H(4)N(2)S(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], was obtained as a minor product from the reaction of trans-PdCl(2)(PPh(3))(2) with piperazine-1,4-dicarbothioic acid bis-(pyridin-2-yl)amide. The Pd(II) atom displays a slightly distorted square-planar PdP(2)S(2) geometry with a bidentately coordinated pyridin-2-ylcarbonimidodithio-ate ligand and two triphenyl-phosphine mol-ecules, coordinated in cis positions. The crystal structure features weak ?-? [centroid-centroid distance =3.7327(15)?Å] and C-H?? inter-actions and contains an almost spherically shaped void of 50.4?Å(3) per unit cell.

Project description:Yellow plate-like shaped crystals of the title compound, [Pd(C(9)H(10)N(3)S)(2)], were obtained by ligand-exchange reaction between palladium(II) acetyl-acetonate and the corresponding organic reagent at room temperature. The Pd(II) atom shows a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry consisting of two ligand mol-ecules in a cis conformation that bind in their thio-lic tautomeric form. Weak inter-molecular Pd⋯H inter-actions with Pd-H distances of 3.328 (2) Å were observed in the crystal structure. The three-dimensional network of the crystal structure is realized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N, N-H⋯N and C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds.

Organometallic <i>cis</i>-Dichlorido Ruthenium(II) Ammine Complexes.

Project description:Bifunctional neutral half-sandwich RuII complexes of the type [(η6-arene)Ru(NH3)Cl2] where arene is p-cym (1) or bip (2) were synthesised by the reaction of N,N-dimethylbenzylamine (dmba), NH4PF6 and the corresponding RuII arene dimer, and were fully characterised. X-ray crystallographic studies of [(η6-p-cym)Ru(NH3)Cl2]·{(dmba-H)(PF6)} (1a) and [(η6-bip)Ru(NH3)Cl2] (2) show extensive H-bond interactions in the solid state, mainly involving the NH3 and the Cl ligands, as well as weak aromatic stacking interactions. The half-lives for the sequential hydrolysis of 1 and 2 determined by UV/Vis spectroscopy at 310 K ranged from a few minutes for the first aquation to ca. 45 min for the second aquation; the diaqua adducts were the predominant species at equilibrium. Arene loss during the aquation of complex 2 was observed. Upon hydrolysis, both complexes readily formed mono- and di-9-ethylguanine (9-EtG) adducts in aqueous solution at 310 K. The reaction reached equilibrium after ca. 1.8 h in the case of complex 1 and was slower but more complete for complex 2 (before the onset of arene loss at ca. 2.7 h). Complexes 1 and 2 were not cytotoxic towards A2780 human ovarian cancer cells up to the maximum concentration tested (100 μM).
