ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(6)H(16)N(2))(CO)(2)], the geometry around the Ru(II) atom is a distorted RuC(2)N(2)Cl(2) octa-hedron, with pairs of C and Cl atoms trans to each other and the N atoms of the bidentate ligand in a cis conformation. The five-membered chelate ring is puckered on the C-C bond.

Project description:The single-crystal X-ray structure analysis of [RuCl(2)(C(12)H(18))(C(5)H(7)NO)] reveals a distorted piano-stool geometry around the Ru(II) atom, with a hexa-methyl-benzene ligand, two chloride ligands and a furfuryl-amine ligand, the latter coordinating through the amine group. In the crystal, a dimeric structure is observed as a result of N-H?Cl inter-actions between two symmetry-related mol-ecules.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(13)H(9)N(3))(CO)(2)], consists of four crystallographically independent Ru(II) complexes. Each Ru(II) atom is in a distorted octa-hedral environment coordinated by two carbonyl ligands, two Cl atoms and a chelating 2-(2-pyrid-yl)-1,8-naphthyridine (pynp) ligand. The carbonyl ligands are cis to each other, while the Cl atoms are trans. Relatively short inter-atomic distances (2.60-2.67?Å) between the uncoordinated N atom of pynp and the C atom of the carbonyl imply a donor-acceptor inter-action between the pynp and carbonyl ligands.

A new monoclinic polymorph of dichlorido-tetra-kis(dimethyl sulfoxide)-ruthenium(II).

Project description:The title compound, cis,fac-dichloridotetra-kis(dimethyl sulfoxide)-κ(3)S,κO-ruthenium(II), [RuCl(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(4)], was obtained from newly synthesized ruthenium complexes of 3-amino-2-chloro-pyridine. The Ru atom has a distorted octa-hedral coordination with two cis-oriented chloride ligands and four dimethyl sulfoxide ligands. Three of the sulfoxide ligands are S-bonded in a fac configuration, while the fourth is O-bonded. The title compound represents a new, and fourth, polymorph of the complex. Two other monoclinic forms and an ortho-rhom-bic modification have been reported previously.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title crystal, [FeCl(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(3)(CO)]·[FeCl(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(2)(CO)(2)]·2C(4)H(8)O, contains half mol-ecules of the two closely related Fe(II) complexes lying on mirror planes and a tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecule, one C atom of which is disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancy factors 0.633 (9) and 0.367 (9). In both Fe(II) complex mol-ecules, a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry has been observed around the Fe atoms. Weak intermolecular C-H⋯O inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:The Ru(II) atom in the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(15)H(10))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·2C(4)H(8)O, has a distorted square-pyramidal conformation. The P and Cl atoms are at the base of the pyramid and the Ru-C(indenyl-idene) bond is in the axial position. The two Cl ligands and the two phosphane ligands are in trans positions. The Cl-Ru-Cl and P-Ru-P angles are 157.71?(2) and 166.83?(2)°, respectively. The two independent tetra-hydro-furan (THF) solvent mol-ecules are disordered. One THF mol-ecule was refined using a split-atom model. The second THF mol-ecule was accounted for by using program PLATON/SQUEEZE [Spek (2009 ?). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. The molecular conformation shows three intramolecular C-H?Cl contacts and two C-H?? interactions while the crystal packing features an intermolecular C-H?Cl contact and two very weak intermolecular C-H?? contacts.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, [RuCl(2)(C(4)H(8)OS)(3)(H(2)O)], is the isomer with the two chloride ligands cis and the three S-coordinated tetra-methyl-ene sulfoxide ligands facial relative to the Ru(II) center. The Ru-Cl distances are 2.4161?(7) and 2.4317?(7)?Å, the Ru-O distance is 2.1540?(19)?Å, and the Ru-S distances are in the range 2.2254?(8)-2.2657?(7)?Å, with the shortest being that trans to the aqua ligand. The coordinated water mol-ecule forms inter-molecular hydrogen bonds with Cl and sulfoxide O atoms.

Comparing the structure with published data of similar compounds shows that the Ge-O bonds are covalent and the Ge-N bond is coordinated.

The dihedral angle between the planes of the cyclo-penta-dienyl rings of the ligand is 123.13 (19)°. The four terminal carbonyl ligands are bound in a symmetrical and staggered array. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers.
