Redetermination of ?-oxido-bis-[bis-(N,N-diethyl-hydroxyl-aminato)-oxido-vanadium(V)].

ABSTRACT: In comparison with the previous determination [Saussine, Mimoun, Mitschler & Fisher (1980 ?). Nouv. J. Chim.4, 235-237] of the title compound, [V(2)(C(4)H(10)NO)(4)O(3)], the current study reports an improved precision of the derived geometric parameters, along with the deposition of all coordinates and displacement parameters. The two V(V) atoms are each surrounded by two deprotonated N,O-bidentate diethyl-hydroxy-laminate groups, and a terminal and a bridging oxide ligand, in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The crystal packing is accomplished by van der Waals inter-actions.

D, pp. 290-291], has been redetermined with improved precision. A crystallographic twofold rotation axis passes through the Co atom, which is tetrahedrally coordinated by two N atoms from two barbital ligands and two N atoms from two imidazole ligands. The mol-ecules are self-assembled via inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions into a supra-molecular network.

The symmetry-equivalent V(V) atoms exhibit coordination geometries defined by cis-terminal fluoride and oxide groups, unsymmetrically bridging oxide groups and the N-atom donors of the phenanthroline ligands. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The centrosymmetric title complex, [Ni{S(2)P(OC(2)H(5))(2)}(2)], has been redetermined using area-detector data. The central Ni(S(2)P)(2) core is essentially planar and confirms the early results of McConnell & Kastalsky [Acta Cryst. (1967), 22, 853-859] based on multiple film technique data. In the title structure, the standard uncertainty values are approximately seven times lower and all H-atom positions are calculated. A pair of short symmetry-related H?H contacts with distances of 2.33?Å is observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title organic-inorganic hybrid compound, (C5H7N2)2[ReVW4O19]·7H2O, the Lindqvist-type polyoxido anion has crystallographically imposed mm2 symmetry and is built up by six MO6 (M = W, V, Re) edge-sharing distorted octa-hedra. The Re and V atoms share the same crystallographic site in a 0.5:0.5 ratio. The 4-amino-pyridinium cations lie on a mirror plane. Three of the four independent water O atoms in the asymmetric unit are located on a mirror plane whereas the remaining O atom has mm2 site symmetry. In the crystal, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network through O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Intra-molecular hydrogen bonds between the exo-NH(2) group H atoms and acetyl-acetonate O atoms stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title complex, [(C(4)H(9))(4)N](2)[Mo(6)O(18)(C(9)H(9)NO(2))]·0.5C(4)H(10)O, the aryl-imido ligand is linked to an Mo atom of the Lindqvist-type polyoxidometalate anion by an Mo N bond of 1.726?(4)?Å. The Mo N-C angles are 160.7?(5) and 167.6(5)° because of disorder affecting the aryl group, and is typical for the imido monodentate behaviour described in analogous hybrids. Light components of the structure are extensively disordered. The aryl ester group is disordered over two positions with occupancies refined to 0.559?(3) and 0.441?(3). Both independent tetra-butyl-ammonium cations have butyl chains partially split over two sites, with occupancies as in the aryl group of the anion. Finally, the ether solvent mol-ecule is disordered around an inversion centre. In the crystal, cations and anions inter-act via C-H?O contacts, involving O atoms of the polyoxidometalate anion and the ester group of the aryl-imido ligand as acceptor groups.
