Tetra-ethyl-ammonium tri-?-phenolato-bis-[tricarbonyl-manganate(I)].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, (C(8)H(20)N)[Mn(2)(C(6)H(5)O)(3)(CO)(6)], was synthesized from [Mn(CO)(3)(CH(3)CN)(3)]BF(4) and (C(8)H(20)N)(OC(6)H(5)). The binuclear anion exhibits a pseudo-threefold symmetry and contains two six-coordinate Mn atoms. Each metal atom is coordinated by three facially oriented CO ligands and three doubly-bridging phenolate ligands. The average O-Mn-O bond angle is 74.9?(7)° in the Mn(2)O(3) metal-phenolate dimeric core, yielding a distorted octa-hedron for each metal.

The tri-ethyl-ammonium cations are linked on both sides of the anion via bifurcated N-H?(O,O) and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds to give a centrosymmetric 2:1 aggregate. The 2:1 aggregates are further linked by C-H?O hydrogen bonds into a zigzag chain running along [01-1].

Project description:The title compound, (C16H36N)2[MnCl4]·2CH2Cl2, is an ionic organic-inorganic hybride compound consisting of a tetra-butyl-ammonium cation and a tetra-chlorido-manganate(II) anion in a 2:1 stoichiometric ratio. The cation contains a central nitro-gen atom bonded to four n-butyl groups in a tetra-hedral arrangement, while the anion contains a central MnII atom tetra-hedrally coordinated by four chlorido ligands. It co-crystallized with two equivalents of di-chloro-methane solvent, CH2Cl2, to give the following empirical formula: [(C4H9)4N]2[MnCl4]·(CH2Cl2)2. The crystal structure is mainly stabilized by Coulombic inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, {(C4H12N)[Mn(HCO2)3]} n , the Mn(II) atom lies on an inversion centre and is coordinated by O-atom donors from the three double-bridging formate ligands, one of which lies across a crystallographic mirror plane, giving a slightly distorted octahedral coordination sphere. A three-dimensional NaCl-type framework is generated in which the tetra-methyl-ammonium cations, which lie across mirror planes and occupy the cavities in the polymer structure, form weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds with the formate ligands.

The Tc atoms have slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometries, and they are linked with the cations by inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?Cl hydrogen-bonding contacts, forming two-dimensional columns, which lie approximately parallel to (001) in the crystal structure. The isochinolate (isoquinoline-1-carboxyl-ate) ligands link the columns by partial ?-? stacking [centroid-centroid distance 4.3733?(11)?Å], forming a three-dimensional network structure.

Project description:Crystals of the title compound, (C(6)H(5)CH(2)CH(2)NH(3))(2)[CoCl(4)], were grown by the solvent-evaporation method. This inorganic-organic hybrid compound exhibits a layered structure in which isolated CoCl(4) inorganic layers alternate with bilayers of phenylethylammonium cations. Although the inorganic anion is zero-dimensional, the layered structure is stabilized via N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds. The CoCl(4) tetra-hedra connect to the cations through N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, building a two-dimensional network extending parallel to (010).

Project description:The title compound, 2C(8)H(20)N(+)·C(2)O(4) (2-)·2H(2)O, synthesized by neutralizing H(2)C(2)O(4)·2H(2)O with (C(2)H(5))(4)NOH in a 1:2 molar ratio, is a deliquescent solid. The oxalate ion is nonplanar, with a dihedral angle between carboxyl-ate groups of 64.37?(2)°. O-H?O hydrogen bonds of moderate strength link the O atoms of the water mol-ecules and the oxalate ions into rings parallel to the c axis. The rings exhibit the graph-set motif R(4) (4)(12). In addition, there are weak C-H?O inter-actions in the crystal structure.
