[?-Bis(diphenyl-phosphan-yl-?P)methane]-deca-carbonyl-tri-?-hydrido-trirhenium(I)(3 Re-Re) dichloromethane solvate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Re(3)(?-H)(3)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(CO)(10)]·CH(2)Cl(2), the three Re atoms form a triangle bearing ten terminal carbonyl groups and three edge-bridging hydrides. The bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)methane ligand bridges two Re atoms. Neglecting the Re-Re inter-actions, each Re atom is in a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecule is disordered over two sets of sites with fixed occupancies of 0.6 and 0.4.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title triangulo-triruthenium compound, [Ru(3)(C(25)H(22)As(2))(C(18)H(14)BrP)(CO)(9)]·0.3CHCl(3), contains one mol-ecule of the triangulo-triruthenium complex and one partially occupied disordered chloro-form solvent mol-ecule. The bis-(diphenyl-arsino)methane ligand bridges an Ru-Ru bond and the monodentate phosphine ligand bonds to the third Ru atom. Both the arsine and phosphine ligands are equatorial with respect to the Ru(3) triangle. In addition, each Ru atom carries one equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. The phosphine-substituted benzene rings make dihedral angles of 67.5 (3), 76.1 (3) and 78.1 (3)° with each other. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings are 79.0 (4) and 81.4 (3)° for the two diphenyl-arsino groups. In the crystal packing, the mol-ecules are linked into chains along the a axis by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [CoRu(C(17)H(14)P)(2)ClH(C(18)H(15)P)(CO)]PF(6)·2CH(2)Cl(2), the Ru(II) atom is coordinated by three P atoms from a chelating 1,1'-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)cobaltocenium ligand and a triphenyl-phosphine ligand, one CO ligand, one Cl atom and one H atom in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the cobaltocenium unit, the two cyclo-penta-dienyl rings are almost parallel, making a dihedral angle of 1.2?(3)°. The F atoms of the hexa-fluoridophosphate anion are disordered over two sets of sites, with an occupancy ratio of 0.849?(11):0.151?(11). Intra-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds occur in the complex cation. The complex cations, hexa-fluoridophosphate anions and dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular C-H?F hydrogen bonds.

The three phospho-rus-bound benzene rings make dihedral angles of 72.7?(3), 80.9?(3) and 70.8?(2)° with each other. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into [001] chains via inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds. Weak inter-molecular C-H?? inter-actions also occur.

The mol-ecular structure is similar to the structure of the solvent-free compound [Fukuzawa, Yamamoto & Kikuchi (2007 ?). J. Org. Chem. 72, 1514-1517], but some torsion angles about the P-C(phen-yl) bonds differ by up to 25°. The P atoms and the N atom have a distorted trigonal-pyramidal geometry. The chloro-form solvate group donates a C-H?? bond to the central benzene ring and is also involved in six inter-molecular C-H?Cl contacts with H?Cl distances between 2.96 and 3.13?Å.
