[?-Bis(diphenyl-phosphan-yl-?P)methane]-deca-carbonyl-tri-?-hydrido-trirhenium(I)(3 Re-Re) dichloromethane solvate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Re(3)(?-H)(3)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(CO)(10)]·CH(2)Cl(2), the three Re atoms form a triangle bearing ten terminal carbonyl groups and three edge-bridging hydrides. The bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)methane ligand bridges two Re atoms. Neglecting the Re-Re inter-actions, each Re atom is in a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecule is disordered over two sets of sites with fixed occupancies of 0.6 and 0.4.

The bis-(diphenyl-arsino)methane ligand bridges an Ru-Ru bond and the monodentate phosphine ligand bonds to the third Ru atom. Both the arsine and phosphine ligands are equatorial with respect to the Ru(3) triangle. In addition, each Ru atom carries one equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. The phosphine-substituted benzene rings make dihedral angles of 67.5 (3), 76.1 (3) and 78.1 (3)° with each other. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings are 79.0 (4) and 81.4 (3)° for the two diphenyl-arsino groups. In the crystal packing, the mol-ecules are linked into chains along the a axis by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [CoRu(C(17)H(14)P)(2)ClH(C(18)H(15)P)(CO)]PF(6)·2CH(2)Cl(2), the Ru(II) atom is coordinated by three P atoms from a chelating 1,1'-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)cobaltocenium ligand and a triphenyl-phosphine ligand, one CO ligand, one Cl atom and one H atom in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the cobaltocenium unit, the two cyclo-penta-dienyl rings are almost parallel, making a dihedral angle of 1.2?(3)°. The F atoms of the hexa-fluoridophosphate anion are disordered over two sets of sites, with an occupancy ratio of 0.849?(11):0.151?(11). Intra-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds occur in the complex cation. The complex cations, hexa-fluoridophosphate anions and dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular C-H?F hydrogen bonds.

All phosphane ligands are equatorial with respect to the Ru(3) triangle. In addition, each Ru atom carries one equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. The three phosphane-substituted benzene rings make dihedral angles of 87.18 (11), 59.59 (10) and 89.28 (11)° with each other. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings are 78.48 (11) and 87.58 (11)° for the two diphenyl-phosphanyl groups. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are stacked along the a axis. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:The absolute configuration of the title mol-ecule, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(38)H(34)NP(2))]·CHCl(3), is R,R(p). The mol-ecular structure is similar to the structure of the solvent-free compound [Fukuzawa, Yamamoto & Kikuchi (2007 ▶). J. Org. Chem. 72, 1514-1517], but some torsion angles about the P-C(phen-yl) bonds differ by up to 25°. The P atoms and the N atom have a distorted trigonal-pyramidal geometry. The chloro-form solvate group donates a C-H⋯π bond to the central benzene ring and is also involved in six inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl contacts with H⋯Cl distances between 2.96 and 3.13 Å.

Both the arsine and phosphine ligands are equatorial with respect to the Ru(3) triangle. In addition, each Ru atom carries one equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. In each biphenyl unit, the phenyl rings are twisted from each other, making dihedral angles of 51.22 (18), 42.94 (16) and 26.95 (16)°. The arsine-substituted phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 61.22 (15), 87.17 (15) and 83.32 (15)° with each other. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings are 85.52 (18) and 81.77 (15)° for the two diphenyl-phosphanyl groups, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into dimers by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π and π-π [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6981 (18) Å] inter-actions stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, [RhCl(C(21)H(21)P)(2)(CO)]·C(3)H(6)O, was precipitated in trace yield from a reaction of RhCl(cod)(THP) with P(p-tol)(3) in a 1:1 acetone-d(6)/CD(3)OD solution under a hydrogen atmosphere [p-tol = p-tolyl, THP = tris-(hydroxy-meth-yl)phosphine, P(CH(2)OH)(3), and cod = 1,5-cyclo-octa-diene]. The complex displays a square-planar geometry around the Rh(I) atom. The complex mol-ecules and the acetone mol-ecules are linked into a chain along the a axis by inter-molecular C-H?Cl and C-H?O hydrogen bonds.
