ABSTRACT: In the title compound, {[Mg(C(8)H(6)FO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·0.4H(2)O}(n), slightly distorted octa-hedral MgO(6) complex units have crystallographic inversion symmetry, the coordination polyhedron comprising two trans-related water mol-ecules and four carboxyl O-atom donors, two of which are bridging. Within the two-dimensional complex polymer which is parallel to (100), coordinating water mol-ecules form inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds with carboxyl-ate and phen-oxy O-atom acceptors, as well as with the partial-occupancy solvent water mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, {[Ca(C(8)H(5)Cl(2)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n), the Ca(II) atom is eight-coordinated by six O atoms from four different (2,4-dichloro-phen-oxy)acetate ligands and two water mol-ecules, and displays a distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry. The compound forms an infinite zigzag chain through connection of the metal centers by (2,4-dichlorphen-oxy)acetate ligands and hydrogen bonding of coordinated and inter-stitial water mol-ecules. These chains are further hydrogen bonded with neighboring chains, forming a supra-molecular network.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Co(C(9)H(9)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], each Co(II) atom is located on an inversion center and is hexa-coordinated by four O atoms from two benzyl-oxyacetate ligands [Co-O bond lengths = 2.0487?(9) and 2.1090?(9)?Å] and two water mol-ecules [Co-O bond length = 2.0873?(9)?Å] in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Project description:The title compound, {[Cu(2)(C(8)H(5)Cl(2)O(3))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)]NO(3)}(n) was prepared by reacting copper(II) nitrate with 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) and (2,4-dichloro-phen-oxy)acetic acid under solvothermal conditions. Each of two copper(I) atoms in the asymmetric unit is three-coordinated by two N atoms from two 4,4'-bipy ligands and one O atom from the (2,4-dichloro-phen-oxy)acetate ligand. As both ligands act as bridging ligands, a double-stranded chain structure is observed.

Each ligand bridges two Zn(II) atoms, forming a polymeric chain along the a axis. Adjacent chains are connected via C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.
