ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [CoCl(CH5N)(C3H10N2)2]Cl2·H2O, the Co(III) ion has an octa-hedral coordination environment and is surrounded by four N atoms of two propane-1,3-diamine ligands in the equatorial plane, with another N atom of the methylamine ligand and a Cl atom occupying the axial positions. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?O, N-H?Cl, and O-H?Cl inter-actions, generating a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(C(2)O(4))(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)]Cl·H(2)O, there are two independent Mn(III) complexes, two Cl(-) anions and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. Each Mn(III) atom is hexa-coordinated by four N atoms from two propane-1,3-diamine ligands and two O atoms from one oxalate ligand, resulting in a slightly distorted octa-hedral MnO(2)N(4) geometry. Mn-O and Mn-N bond lengths are in the ranges 1.969 (2)-2.020 (3) and 2.068 (3)-2.113 (4) Å, respectively. There are weak inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds with D⋯A distances in the range 2.831 (4)-3.423 (3) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [CrCl(2)(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)]ClO(4), the Cr(III) atom is coordinated equatorially by four N atoms of two propane-1,3-diamine (tn) ligands and axially by two mutually trans Cl atoms, thus displaying a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry with no crystallographically imposed symmetry. The two six-membered chair chelate rings in the complex cation are in an anti conformation with respect to each other. The Cr-N bond lengths range from 2.0831 (18) to 2.0917 (19) Å, and the Cr-Cl bond lengths are 2.3148 (6) and 2.3135 (6) Å. The perchlorate anions have slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometries. Weak inter-molecular hydrogen bonds involving the tn ligand NH groups as donors, and chloride ligands and anion O atoms as acceptors are observed.

The Cu(C(3)H(10)N(2))(H(2)O) units are linked via fumarate dianions into a zigzag chain running along the a axis. A longer Cu-O distance [2.873?(3)?Å] is to a water mol-ecule bridging equivalent Cu(II) atoms in adjacent chains, forming a three-dimensional framework. One of the Cu(II) atoms is in a distorted square-pyramidal environment and the other is in a pseudo-octa-hedral geometry of the [5+1] type. O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.
