{Bis[2-(dicyclo-hexyl-phosphino)phen-yl]methyl-silyl-?P,Si,P'}chloridoplatinum(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Pt(C(37)H(55)P(2)Si)Cl], prepared from MeSiH[(cy)(2)PC(6)H(4)](2) and [Pt(cod)Cl(2)] (cy = cyclo-hexyl; cod = cyclo-octa-1,5-diene), the Pt(II) atom is coordinated by two P atoms, one Si atom and one Cl atom in a distorted square-planar geometry. The two P atoms are in a trans arrangement and the four cyclo-hexane rings adopt a chair conformation.

Project description:In the title structure, [CoRu(C(5)H(5))(C(17)H(26)P)(2)Cl]PF(6), the Ru(II) atom is bonded to a cyclo-penta-dienyl ring, a Cl atom and two P atoms of the chelating 1,1'-bis-(dicyclo-hexyl-phosphino)cobaltocenium (di-cypc) ligand, leading to a three-legged piano-stool coordination. Part of the PF(6) (-) counter-anion is disordered over two positions, with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.898?(7):0.102?(7). The components are linked by C-H?F and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Ag(2)I(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(C(18)H(27)P)(2)], contains centrosymmetric dinuclear species in which each Ag atom is surrounded by a phosphine ligand, a weakly coordinating pyridine ligand and two iodide anions in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination. The two iodide anions bridge the Ag atoms, which are separated by a distance of 3.1008 (6) Å. The Ag-P distance is 2.4436 (8) Å, Ag-N is 2.386 (3)Å and the Ag-I distances are 2.8186 (4) and 2.9449 (5) Å.

Project description:Crystals of the title compound, C(30)H(20)F(12)P(2) or R(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PR(2) (R = 4-C(6)H(4)CF(3)), were inadvertently prepared while attempting to recrystallize a crude sample of trans-Re(Cl)(N(2))(R(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PR(2))(2) from diethyl ether. The molecule lies on a center of inversion. One of the rings lies approximately in the P-C-C-P plane; the dihedral angle is 174.53°.The other ring is not quite perpendicular; the dihedral angle is 71.1°. The compound is isostructural with the R = Ph, 4-C(6)H(4)CH(3) and 4-C(6)H(4)CH(2)CH(3) analogues. It is well known that the basicity of phosphines and diphosphines can be altered by changing the electron-donating ability of R; however, the structural parameters for the title compound do not significantly differ from those of the aforementioned substituted-phenyl compounds.

Project description:In the title compound, [PdCl(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))] or PdCl(2)[(C(6)H(5))(2)PCH(2)P(C(6)H(4)CH(3))(2)], the palladium center has a distorted square-planar geometry. There are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angle between the PdP(2) and PdCl(2) planes is 2.95?(4)° in one independent mol-ecule and 5.15?(4)° in the other. The P-Pd-P and P-C-P bond angles are significantly distorted because of the small bite angle of the chelating (bis-phosphino)methane ligand. The steric demands of the substituted rings in the mixed ligand cause a slight elongation of the Pd-P(C(6)H(4)CH(3))(2) bond relative to the Pd-P(C(6)H(5))(2) bond. In one molecule the tolyl ring shows positional disorder in a 0.58?(2):0.42?(2) ratio, in the other molecule the phenyl ring shows positional disorder in a 0.838?(9):0.162?(9) ratio.

Project description:The title compound, [PdBr(2)(C(24)H(31)P)(2)], has a distorted trans square-planar coordination of the Pd atom, which occupies an inversion centre. The most important bond distances include Pd-P of 2.380?(2)?Å and Pd-Br of 2.515?(2)?Å. Weak inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between the benzene rings of adjacent mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.949?(6)?Å] are present via crystallographic inversion centres, resulting in a one-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

A chloride ligand together with three coordinating P ligand atoms create a slightly distorted square-planar coordination environment around the Pt(II) center. An inter-molecular water O-H?Cl(-) and water O-H?OP hydrogen-bond network completes the coordination around the anion. In addition, a disordered CH(2)Cl(2) solvent mol-ecule cocrystallized within a hydro-phobic cavity spanned by the dicyclo-hexyl-phosphane ligands.

The Mg(2+) ions are bonded to a chelating N,N'-bonded guanidinate anion, a tetra-hydro-furan mol-ecule and two bridging chloride anions. The geometry of the resulting five-coordinated Mg(2+) ion is a very distorted square-based pyramid with the O atom in the apical position.
