Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(2)(C(15)H(12)N(2)O(4))(2)(C(6)H(5)N)(2)], each Cu(II) atom is chelated by the tridentate doubly deprotonated Schiff base and a pyridine mol-ecule in a nearly planar environment (r.m.s. deviation for all non-H atoms = 0.107?Å). The metal ions are bridged by one O atom from the symmetry-related Schiff base ligands, forming a centrosymmetric dinuclear copper(II) complex. The dimeric complex is linked to another dimer via weaker Cu-O inter-actions and also O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(17)H(15)ClN(2)O(5))(C(5)H(5)N)], the Cu(II) atom is coordinated by one N atom and two O atoms from an anionic salicyl-aldehyde benzoyl-hydrazone ligand and one pyridine N atom in a distorted square-planar geometry. The bonds displays the usual elongation with mean Cu-O and Cu-N bond lengths of 1.926 and 1.976?Å, respectively. The pyridine ring makes dihedral angles of 26.12?(13) and 11.08?(12)°, respectively, with the trimeth-oxy-phenyl and phenolate rings, which make a dihedral angle of 16.05?(12)° with one another.

Project description:The ligand N-(2-hydr-oxy-3-methoxy-benzyl-idene)glycylglycine (H(3)L), a Schiff base derived from glycylglycine and 3-methoxy-salicylaldehyde, was used in the synthesis of a new organic-inorganic coordination complex, [Mn(H(2)O)(6)][Cu(C(12)H(11)N(2)O(5))](2)·6H(2)O. The Mn(II) atom is located on an inversion center and is coordinated to six water mol-ecules in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Cu(II) atom is chelated by the tetra-dentate Schiff base ligand in a distorted CuN(2)O(2) square-planar coordination. In the crystal structure, the complex [Mn(H(2)O)(6)](2+) cations and the [CuL](-) anions are arranged in columns parallel to the a axis and are held together by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding. Additional hydrogen bonds of the same type further link the columns into a three-dimensional network.

The V(V) ion is displaced by 0.464?(1)?Å from the basal plane towards the axial oxide O atom. Intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonding occurs. Inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonding is also observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title benzil-idene Schiff base molybdenum(VI) complex, [Mo(C(15)H(12)N(2)O(3))O(2)(CH(3)OH)], the Mo(VI) ion is coordinated by two oxide O atoms and by two O atoms and one N atom of the tridentate N'-(3-meth-oxy-2-oxidobenzyl-idene)benzo-hydrazidate (L) Schiff base ligand. The methanol O atom completes the distorted octa-hedral configuration of the Mo(VI) atom. Strong O-H?N hydrogen bonds form a C(5) chain around a 2(1) screw axis. Weak C-H-O hydrogen bonds are also present.
