ABSTRACT: The Sn(IV) atom in the title ammonium stannate, (Et(3)NH)[Sn(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))Cl(4)], is chelated by an pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligand and exists in a cis-SnCl(4)NO octa-hedral geometry. The cation and the anion are linked by an N-H?N hydrogen bond.

Project description:In the title compound, [N(C4H9)4][Sn(C4H9)Cl4], the Sn(IV) atom of the stannate anion has a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination sphere by two Cl atoms and one butyl chain in the equatorial plane and by two Cl atoms in the apical positions. Two of the four butyl chains of the tetra-butyl-ammonium cation are partially disordered, each with refined site occupancies of 0.691?(6):0.309?(6). Weak C-H?Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions help to consolidate the crystal packing, as well as a short Cl?Cl inter-action of 3.295?(2)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, (C6H14N)2[Sn(C6H5)2Cl4], contains cyclo-hexyl-ammonium cations in general positions and a stannate(IV) anion that is located on a twofold rotation axis. The Sn(IV) atom in the complex anion is surrounded by four Cl(-) ligands and two trans-phenyl groups in a distorted octa-hedral configuration. Every cation is involved in three N-H?Cl bonds to the chloride ligands of three different anions, and each chloride ligand is linked to two cations. Project description:The title salt, (C6H14N)2[Sn(C2O4)Cl4], was obtained as a by-product from the reaction between 2C6H14N(+)·C2O4 (2-)·1.5H2O and SnCl2·2H2O. The cyclo-hexyl-ammonium cation has a chair conformation. The complex anion consists of an oxalate anion chelating the SnCl4 moiety, resulting in a distorted octa-hedral coordination sphere of the Sn(IV) atom with the O atoms in equatorial cis positions. In the crystal, cations and anions are linked through N-H?O and N-H?Cl inter-actions into a layered arrangement parallel to (100).

Project description:In the title solvated salt, (C(10)H(10)NO)[SnCl(4)(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))]·CH(3)OH, the Sn(IV) atom is chelated by the N,O-bidentate pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligand and four chloride ions, and shows a distorted octa-hedral SnNOCl(4) coordination at the metal atom. The 8-hy-droxy-2-methyl-quinolinium cation and the anion are linked to the methanol mol-ecules by O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating a linear chain running along [1[Formula: see text]0]. There are two independent ion pairs and solvent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a 41.8?(1)% twin component.

Project description:Regular crystals of the title compound, (C(2)H(8)N)(2)[Sn(CH(3))(2)Cl(4)], were obtained by reacting SnMe(2)Cl(2) with (CH(3))(2)NH·HCl in ethanol in a 1:1 ratio. The Sn atom lies on a center of symmetry and is six-coordinated. It has a distorted octahedral SnC(2)Cl(4) environment with the Cl atoms in cis positions. The Cl atoms are connected to dimethyl-ammonium cations through N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, forming an infinite chain extending parallel to [010].
