ABSTRACT: In the title Cu(I) compound, [Cu(C6H5N5)(C18H15P)2]BF4, the Cu(I) cation is N,N'-chelated by a 5-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-tetra-zole ligand and coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphane ligands in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The tetra-zole and pyridine rings are essentially coplanar [dihedral angle = 4.1?(3)°]. The tetra-fluoridoborate anion links to the complex cation via an N-H?F hydrogen bond.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(16)H(11)BrN(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]BF(4), is composed of one Cu(I) atom, one 6-(4-bromo-phen-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine (L) ligand, two triphenyl-phosphane mol-ecules and one tetra-fluoridoborate anion. The Cu(I) ion is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral configuration by two N atoms from L and two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphane ligands. In the L ligand, the two pyridine rings are not coplanar; the mean planes making a dihedral angle of 15.3 (5)°. In the crystal, the ions are linked by weak C-H⋯F inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(17)H(13)N(4) (+)·BF(4) (-), contains one half of the benzimidazolium cation and one half of the tetra-fluoridoborate anion, with crystallographic mirror planes bis-ecting the mol-ecules. One F atom of the tetra-fluoridoborate is equally disordered about a crystallographic mirror plane. In the crystal, C-H?F inter-actions link the cations and anions into layers parallel to (100). The crystal packing is further stabilized by F?? contacts involving the tetra-fluoridoborate anions and the five-membered rings [F?centroid = 2.811?(2)?Å].

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Cu(2)I(2)(C(14)H(14)N(4))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)](n), the Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two I atoms, one P atom and one N atom in a fairly regular tetra-hedral arrangement. A crystallographic inversion centre generates a Cu(2)I(2) diamond with a Cu-Cu separation of 3.0120?(5)?Å. The complete N,N'-(1-pyridin-4-yl-ethethyl-idene)-hydrazine mol-ecule is also generated by inversion symmetry, and this bridging ligand leads to [011] polymeric chains in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(H(2)O)]BF(4), the Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphine ligands and one water mol-ecule in a distorted trigonal geometry. In the BF(4) (-) anion, three F atoms are disordered over two sites around the B-F bond, the site-occupancy ratio being 0.67?(6):0.33?(6). The Cu?F distance of 2.602?(5)?Å between the Cu atom and the ordered F atom may suggest a weak but genuine inter-action. O-H?F and weak C-H?F hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]BF(4), crystallizes as discrete [(PPh(3))(2)(py)(2)Cu](+) cations and [BF(4)](-) anions and is isostructural with the analogous perchlorate salt. The anion is located in close proximity to the pyridine ligands with weak C-H⋯F inter-actions apparent. The P(2)CuN(2) coordination geometry is pseudo-tetra-hedral, with P-Cu-P and N-Cu-N angles of 116.02 (6) and 101.5 (2)°, respectively.

Project description:Through a diffusion reaction, cuprous bromide, triphenyl-phosphane and 1,3-bis-(pyridin-4-yl)propane (bpp) were self-assembled to form the one-dimensional title compound, [Cu(2)Br(2)(C(13)H(14)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)](n). Each Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two Br atoms, one P atom from a triphenyl-phosphane ligand and one N atom from a bpp mol-ecule in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. Two ?(2)-Br bridges connect two [Cu(PPh(3))](+) units to form neutral [CuBr(PPh(3))](2) dimers, which are linked by the flexible bridging bpp ligands to form a one-dimensional chain structure parallel to the c axis. The dihedral angle between the pyridine rings of the bpp ligand is 34.59?(14)°.

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Ag(C(9)H(7)N(3)S)(2)]BF(4), the Ag(I) ion adopts a virtually linear coordination geometry [N-Ag-N = 178.06?(11)°] with the two ligands bound to the metal atom via the pyridine N atoms. The metal-coordinated pyridine rings are almost coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 1.5?(2)°, while the two pendent pyrazine rings are arranged on the same side of the N-Ag-N line. Along the a axis, the mononuclear coordination units are stacked with ?-? inter-actions between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.569?(4)?Å], leading to infinite chains. The chains are inter-connected through inter-molecular N(pyrazine)??(pyrazine) inter-actions forming layers parallel to the ab plane [N?centroid = 3.268?(5)?Å]. These layers are further stacked along the c-axis direction, furnishing a three-dimensional supra-molecular framework with the tetra-fluoridoborate anions embedded within the inter-stices.
