Bis(pyridine-?N)bis-(triphenyl-phosphine-?P)copper(I) tetra-fluoridoborate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Cu(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]BF(4), crystallizes as discrete [(PPh(3))(2)(py)(2)Cu](+) cations and [BF(4)](-) anions and is isostructural with the analogous perchlorate salt. The anion is located in close proximity to the pyridine ligands with weak C-H?F inter-actions apparent. The P(2)CuN(2) coordination geometry is pseudo-tetra-hedral, with P-Cu-P and N-Cu-N angles of 116.02?(6) and 101.5?(2)°, respectively.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(H(2)O)]BF(4), the Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphine ligands and one water mol-ecule in a distorted trigonal geometry. In the BF(4) (-) anion, three F atoms are disordered over two sites around the B-F bond, the site-occupancy ratio being 0.67?(6):0.33?(6). The Cu?F distance of 2.602?(5)?Å between the Cu atom and the ordered F atom may suggest a weak but genuine inter-action. O-H?F and weak C-H?F hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title mononuclear Cu(I) complex, [Cu(C(18)H(15)P)(C(41)H(39)P(3))]BF(4), the cation has a basic rigid core structure reminiscent of the framework of diamond. The metal atom is coordinated by four P atoms in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry, the distortion arising from the steric hindrance of the phenyl groups. The anion is disordered over two positions, with an occupancy ratio of 0.524 (17):0.476 (17). The cations and anions are closely packed in the crystal and are in h.c.p. arrangements.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(16)H(11)BrN(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]BF(4), is composed of one Cu(I) atom, one 6-(4-bromo-phen-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine (L) ligand, two triphenyl-phosphane mol-ecules and one tetra-fluoridoborate anion. The Cu(I) ion is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral configuration by two N atoms from L and two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphane ligands. In the L ligand, the two pyridine rings are not coplanar; the mean planes making a dihedral angle of 15.3 (5)°. In the crystal, the ions are linked by weak C-H⋯F inter-actions.

One half-mol-ecule of dichloro-methane crystallizes with the complex. The chlorine atoms are disordered over two sites with occupancies fixed at 0.30 and 0.20 respectively. Project description:The title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(2)H(3)N)(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·2C(2)H(3)N, was obtained upon stirring an acetonitrile/ethanol solution of [RuCl(2)(PPh(3))(3)]. In the crystal structure, each Ru(II) ion is coordinated by two Cl [Ru-Cl = 2.4308 (7) and 2.4139 (7) Å], two N [Ru-N = 2.016 (2) and 2.003 (2) Å], and two P [Ru-P = 2.3688 (7) and 2.3887 (7) Å] atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Packing inter-actions include typical C-H⋯π contacts involving phenyl groups as well as weak hydrogen bonds between CH(3)CN methyl H atoms and Cl or solvent CH(3)CN N atoms.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules with similar configurations in the title complex, [Mo(C(3)H(6)NS)(C(5)H(4)NS)(C(18)H(15)P)(CO)(2)]. The geometry around the metal atom is that of a capped octa-hedron. The thio-cabamoyl and pyridine-2-thiol-ate ligands coordinate to the molybdenum metal center through the C and S atoms, and N and S atoms, respectively. NMR, IR and MS analyses are in agreement with the structure of the title compound.

The two iodide anions bridge the Ag atoms, which are separated by a distance of 3.1008 (6) Å. The Ag-P distance is 2.4436 (8) Å, Ag-N is 2.386 (3)Å and the Ag-I distances are 2.8186 (4) and 2.9449 (5) Å.

The Cu atom lies on a center of inversion. N-H⋯O and N-H⋯F hydrogen bonds give rise to a one-dimensional structure. The BF(4) (-) anion is disordered over two sites in a 0.671 (10):0.329 (10) ratio.

Project description:In the title 1:1 silver(I) 4-carb-oxy-pyridine-3-carboxyl-ate adduct with triphenyl-phosphine, [Ag(C(7)H(4)NO(4))(C(18)H(15)P)](n), the carboxyl-ate anion bridges the phosphine-coordinated Ag atoms through its N and O atoms, generating a coordination polymer forming layers in the bc plane. The Ag atom exists in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The H atom of the carboxyl-ate is midway between two O atoms of the two carboxyl groups, thus forming a strong intra-molecular hydrogen bond.
