ABSTRACT: The structure of the title organic-inorganic hybrid compound, {(C(2)H(7)N(4)O)(2)[BiCl(5)]}(n), consists of corrugated chains parallel to [100] of corner-joined [BiCl(6)] octa-hedra, separated by layers of organic 1-carbamoylguanidinum cations. The crystal cohesion is achieved by N-H?O and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, which link the organic and inorganic parts of the structure.

Project description:The mol-ecular geometry of the complex cation in the title structure, [(?-Cl)(3){Ru(II)(?(6)-C(6)Me(6))}(2)][Fe(III)Cl(4)], compares very well with that reported earlier for the corresponding PF(6) (-) salt [Pandey et al. (1999 ?). J. Organomet. Chem.592, 278-282]. The [FeCl(4)](-) counter ion has a rather regular tetra-hedral geometry with Fe-Cl distances and Cl-Fe-Cl angles in the range 2.1891?(7)-2.2018?(8)?Å and 107.10?(3)-110.56?(3)°, respectively. There are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions in the crystal except for some weak C-H?Cl contacts, which in turn indicates that the crystal packing is determined predominantly by electrostatic inter-actions between the ionic constituents.

Project description:The title compound, {systematic name: (3-carb-oxy-1-ethyl-6-fluoro-7-piperazin-4-ium-1-yl-1H-quinolin-4-yl-idene)oxonium tri-μ(2)-chlorido-bis-[trichloridobismuthate(III)] chloride dihydrate], (C(16)H(20)FN(3)O(3))(2)[Bi(2)Cl(9)]Cl·2H(2)O, is composed of [Bi(2)Cl(9)](3-) anions lying on crystallographic twofold rotation axes, Cl(-) anions also on twofold axes, C(16)H(20)FN(3)O(3) (2+) cations, and water mol-ecules. The Bi(III) coordination polyhedron is a distorted octa-hedron and two such octa-hedra share a triangular face to form the complex anion. There are three short terminal Bi-Cl bonds [2.5471 (6)-2.5781(5 Å] and three longer bridging bonds [2.8599 (5)-2.9984 (6) Å] in each octa-hedron. Anions, cations and water mol-ecules are linked by hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network. There are also π-π stacking inter-actions between quinoline ring systems, with an inter-planar distance of 3.27 (1) Å.

Project description:The title compound, [HP(CH3)3][IrCl4{(H3C)3P}2], consists of a tri-methyl-phospho-nium cation and a tetra-chlorido-bis-(tri-methyl-phosphane)iridate(III) anion. The anion has an octa-hedral arrangement of ligands, with the tri-methyl-phosphane groups occupying trans positions. The Ir(III) atom sits on an inversion center with one P(CH3)3 ligand and two chloride ligands in the asymmetric unit. The tri-methyl-phospho-nium cation is disordered about a twofold rotation axis. The title compound is the first structurally characterized tetra-chlorido-bis-(phosphane)iridate complex.

Project description:The title compound, {(C7H6NS)2[Sb2Cl6O]} n , contains two benzo-thia-zolidium cations and one tri-μ-chlorido-tri-chlorido-μ-oxido-di-anti-monate(III) anion. The structure of the inorganic cation may be described as as being built up from two polyhedra, i.e. a square-pyramidal SbCl4O and a distorted octa-hedral SbOCl5 unit, sharing a common face (comprising the O atom and two Cl atoms). The two benzo-thia-zole cations are quasi-planar and subtend a dihedral angle of 19.93 (5)°. The crystal packing can be described by alternating (100) layers and [001] chains of the organic cations and inorganic anions connected through an extensive three-dimensional network of N-H⋯Cl, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. This is consolidated by slipped π-π stacking, with centroid-to-centroid distances between the benzo-thia-zole rings of 3.7111 (18)-3.8452 (16) Å. These inter-actions link the mol-ecules within the layers and also link the layers together and reinforce the cohesion of the ionic structure.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Re2Cl6(C3H7NO2)2]·1.5H2O, comprises a dinuclear complex cation [Re-Re = 2.2494 (3) Å] involving cis-oriented double carboxyl-ate bridges, four equatorial chloride ions and two weakly bonded chloride ligands in the axial positions at the two rhenium(III) atoms. In the crystal, two complex mol-ecules and two water mol-ecules constitute hydrogen-bonded dimers, while an extensive hydrogen-bonding network involving the groups of the zwitterionic ligand is important for generation of the framework. An additional partially occupied water molecule is disordered over two sets of sites about a symmetry centre with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.3:0.2.

Project description:The title compound, [FeZr2(C5H5)4Cl2(C13H18B2)], is a heteronuclear complex that consists of a [3]ferrocenophane moiety substituted at each cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ring by a BH3 group; the BH3 group is bonded via two H atoms to the Zr atom of the zirconocene chloride moiety in a bidentate fashion. The two Cp rings of the [3]ferrocenophane moiety are aligned at a dihedral angle of 8.9?(4)° arising from the strain of the propane-1,3-diyl bridge linking the two Cp rings. [One methyl-ene group is disordered over two positions with a site-occupation factor of 0.552?(18) for the major occupied site.] The dihedral angles between the Cp rings at the two Zr atoms are 50.0?(3) and 51.7?(3)°. The bonding Zr?H distances are in the range 1.89?(7)-2.14?(7)?Å. As the two Cp rings of the ferrocene unit are connected by an ansa bridge, the two Zr atoms approach each other at 6.485?(1)?Å. The crystal packing features C-H?Cl inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, {(C(6)H(11)N(2))[CrCl(3)]}(n), was generated via mixing of the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium chloride with CrCl(2) in ethanol. Crystals were obtained by a diffusion method. In the crystal structure, the anion forms one-dimensional chains of chloride-bridged Jahn-Teller distorted chromium(II) centers extending along the [100] direction. The imidazolium cations are positioned between these chains.

In the crystal, the water molecules of crystallization link the Te(IV) complex mol-ecules into chains running along the b-axis direction via O-H?O and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.
